Excellent food and fantastic people. My partner and I were visiting Port Angeles to decide if we should move there. Within the 5 we are in town, we came here 3 times. Kate’s pumpernickel sourdough bagel is worth moving for. If you like Eastern European fare and sourdough baked goods, definitely visit. We will be back.

Just found this amazing little store and deli on the second floor of the Warf downtown PA. What a collection of imprted foods and candies. Not to mention the sausages and deli items as well as the fresh bakery items. The owner is pleasant and very knowledgeable about the items she offers. If you haven’t done so yet, you have to visit this little gem in Port Angeles. I left with a bag of delectable treats and goodies. I will definitely be back!

I’ll ne the first to admit it, I am entirely biased. A good review from me can be bought fairly easily with free goodies, kindness, and warmth. I’m a man of simple means. I work hard. I often eat on the run. I am most often surly, disheveled, and tired. To be treated with respect and compassion, and I can’t stress this enough, like a guest in someone’s home is a true rarity. The sourdough is great, the Ukranian goods are fantastic, the piriogis and sandwiches delight. My only regret is that I’m not able to patron this business more. The jewelry store it supplanted is a marked improvement. I can’t find or buy caviar anywhere else. It’s a little cramped, but they do what they can. If you’re from the East coast it’s the closest thing to a mom-and-pop corner bodega. Stop in, say hello, try their brownies, visit them at the farmers market too. You can’t go wrong.

Adorable local bakery with a variety of breads, cookies, brownies, and homemade halva. Hot breakfast and lunch specials (delicious looking soup like homemade borscht which I didn’t get to try this time) available daily along with a fun selection of Eastern European dry goods and drinks that you don’t run across just anywhere. Staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Several picnic tables just outside for eating.

All i can say is I spent $20 on a cookie and the breakfast plate meal and it was the biggest joke ever. It was some tiny potatoes, a 2 inch cut of a hot dog and a egg bite 1 inch square. The entire thing weighed 1 oz at best. Total scam. Tasted microwaved. 1 can of orange soda is $5 hahahahaba avoid… trust me. Unless you want to just buy some deli salami.

Sunflower Tastes makes an authentic Ukrainian food that tastes like homemade. So many options and everything was super delicious. The service was also amazing. People that work there are eager to serve you and you can feel the warmth and very welcoming atmosphere the moment you walk in. You absolutely must try them out. One of a kind. Keep up the good work. And thank you for all the deliciousness you cook up every day.

We visited this place today and were really impressed! The food is excellent, with a wide variety of options — sausages, cheeses, pirogie, frozen and ready-to-eat pelmeni. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. There are also some outdoor seating areas where you can sit down and enjoy borscht, pelmeni, or varenyky.
Thank you!

I was excited to try a new bakery, when I found out they were a deli as well, my interest was peeked.
I decided to treat the family to some pastrami sandwiches, now before I go on I have had pastrami sandwiches all around this country from ehhh not so great to “I’ll have what she’s having! ” Katz’s in the highest rent district in the US charges $28.00 for a half pound of melt in your mouth pastrami on his Jewish rye, I wish I had taken a picture of our pathetic little sandwiches @$18 plus tip we recieved 2 tiny slices of bread maybe 3×5 with 4 even smaller pieces of not melt in your mouth thick fat capped brisket. This is thier norm according to the “superior” (thier word not mine) I spoke to. At best the amount of meat on our sandwiches would have made 1 normal sized sandwich, can’t speak to the rest of thier menu but, I won’t be back here for certain.
Don’t get me wrong I wasn’t expecting the best sandwich of my life but $18 for maybe 4oz of meat, nope no way.
The superior mentioned they sell thier sandwiches all around town, well if that’s the case. P T Barnham said it best.

Really lovely selection of Ukrainian and other European treats along with freshly made breads, cookies, borsch, and more. It’s so fun to get to try new things I wouldn’t ordinarily see in our little town. The people who work there are also very helpful and warm.
