This place has my heart! Cozy, eclectic and oh so friendly. I dream about their London Fog or iced banana bread latte. Katie and Lisa knew what they were doing when they built this space and have created a safe, inclusive home away from home for many. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Good luck finding a parking spot. Their parking lot is egregiously small and I am actually surprised they are zoned for commercial operations that allow for a parking lot based on the lot size. The drive thru makes no sense and unless you are in a lifted truck, I am not sure how u would reach the window. All that said…its a decent product and a cute space.

This is a fine shop. The coffee is good. Nothing to necessarily write home about. It’s a great location especially if you want coffee before hopping on I80. I’m not going higher than 3 stars though mainly because their brand is centered around kinda spooky supernatural stuff. The black angel statue is in their logo. I’ve noticed a tarot card event there once. Just not something i want to be affiliated with or support personally. Overall though a well rounded shop!

This place is so cute. It has great coffee and the pastries that are made fresh in house every day, are absolutely divine. The baristas were very kind and helpful. They didn’t make me feel unwelcome in the slightest. It’s a really great place for a date or just to study. Would come again!

Wandered away from the highway to find this place during my commute. I’m so glad I stopped in! The coffee was absolutely what I needed for my 2 hour drive and it tasted so good. The baristas suggested a seasonal latté and an espresso tonic that was not overly sweet. I also got a pup cup for my dog ☺️ The single-origin coffee seems to be very popular here! Very interesting interior. I wanted to read about all of it. Lots of eclectic stuff for sale. Seems like a good place to meet friends, study, or work. The patio area outside seemed very relaxing. The staff is very welcoming here, and extremely helpful.

We were heading out of town on a road trip, and passed by Press Coffee. I’d seen their tempting social media posts, but had never visited. We decided to turn the car around check it out. It was definitely worth it. I love visiting locally owned coffee shops. Each one is different, and Press is a good example of a destination coffee shop. There are two different outdoor patios, a drive-through window, and plenty of seating inside on the main level, as well as upstairs. They have very cozy, artistic, and welcoming spaces. I make a lot of coffee at home using locally roasted beans, sometimes roasted the same day or within a few days, then fresh ground just prior to making espresso. So, I’ve become accustomed to really fresh rich coffee. I ordered a latte at Press Coffee, and normally I would sweeten a latte, but they make such a smooth delicious latte that I didn’t feel a need to sweeten it. I was really impressed. Thanks Press for creating a great coffee shop experience for Iowa City!

You couldn’t ask for a better coffee shop experience. From the diverse drink menu to the intentional selection of pastries and the delightful staff, I always look forward to a chance to stop by Press. Whether you use the drive-thru or you walk-in, the service is efficient (while not rushed) and the quality is never compromised.

What an Iowa City gem!! Stop to buy a coffee at Press and you will leave with so much more than just a delicious, well-crafted treat! Pack & Niles took the time & effort to explain coffee & tea options available to us and sent us back to Michigan with a pound of amazing coffee & oodles of goodwill! The hygge here is palpable with couches & greenery & a community vibe that kept us coming back on every day of our visit! Loved our hazelnut latte & decaf iced coffee! Can’t wait to return!

I think anyone and everyone would feel welcome here. I highly recommend their cappuccino chocolate chip muffins. This is a fantastic place to study, work, or just relax.

Wildly liberal – which makes for good people pleasing hospitality. However, you have to microwave your own pastries with a public microwave on the end of the bar. Offputting. If the food was free and we lived on Annares, the moon of Urras, this would be great and fine. But I need more than this in this capitalist wasteland. You can only ask for so much from a customer when you ask for money too.
And the espresso was a bit burnt.
My standards are too high. I need to go camping soon and reorient my priorities I suppose.
