Pizza was delicious and the atmosphere is cute, but the dine-in experience was pretty brutal. When we were seated, we waited 15 minutes before I had to go flag someone down to bring us water or take our orders. They were very apologetic and immediately comped a dessert, so I at first figured no harm no foul, it happens… but couldn’t help but notice as I sat there that they also forgot another table next to us who also had to find their waitress, and yet another table by us got their order wrong. When our food arrived, unfortunately our order had an error too, with one of our pizzas missing ingredients. When we finally got to the comped dessert, it was described on the menu as “gelato with fresh strawberries,” but was actually a hard scoop of vanilla ice cream with two maraschino cherries. Then, at the end of the meal, while I was still at the table, the busboys (who had been awkwardly hovering over us for half of the meal despite the place being nowhere near full) started clearing things and kicked me out of the table to clean. They apologized afterwards, but… it really was just kind of an oddly bad experience across the board. The waitress who eventually jumped in to cover our table once I asked up front was great individually, it seemed more like the whole place was super disorganized as a restaurant, and it wasn’t terribly packed, tons of staff walking around, so I don’t know what was going on. I almost never complain about service, but it was bad enough to be noteworthy and for $100+ for two adults and a kid, I think it’s fair to expect a little better. More likely to order out for the good pizza than ever dine in again.

The service was great. They had heart shaped Pizza. My wife said they made a great bourbon old fashioned.

Our server Kayla was amazing, sweet, and very attentive. The food was meh. I got the tortellini with pesto. Was hoping for a creamy pesto. It came out dry with not a lot of flavor. The pizza was good, and the crust was delish. Will go back, but make sure I understand the ingredients of the dish before I order.

Our first time here. Waitress was great. Kids loved the pizza dough to play with while we waited for our pizza. Nice variety of pizzas. It was not as expensive as I had heard

I’ve tried the basil bow tie pasta a couple times hoping for the best but I’m disappointed every-time. Way too much sauce, it’s drowning in sauce. The pasta is way overcooked. I couldn’t even finish it today, it was so soggy and salty.
I love their appetizers, the service is always nice. Just wish the pasta was better.

After my first time at Parma I brought my husband back, he’s a meatball specialist and he’s also not easily impressed. Its become one of our favorite places now. The food has been hot and fresh each time, our server both times, Arianna has been consistent in her attentive service; she’s kind and very pleasant. The only down sides are #1 it’s very expensive, just for lunch – we spent over $80 for 3 appetizers, a side salad, and 2 waters! And #2 the dining rooms are kind of dark in lighting and the booths are absolutely uncomfortable, no kind of cushions or backrests anywhere in sight. We will continue to come back but we can’t drop money like that on the regular.

The food was good however the place was dead on a weeknight and the service was still terribly slow. Took forever to get drinks and any refills and the staff knew nothing about the menu. We’d go back and hope for better service

Parma Pizza Bar is, by far, the best restaurant in Yorkville and one of the better pizza places in the Chicago suburbs. The service is impeccable, as all the staff are pleasant and kind, with the waitstaff being attentive but not overbearing. The decor is modern yet inviting, though the seats could use some cushioning. The food does take awhile, but it’s well worth the wait. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza tastes great. I had a cup of creamy sausage and fennel soup that was phenomenal. The menu has some nice variety and and I’ve yet to eat something there that I didn’t like.

Sean and Eileen were both amazing! They were extremely friendly! The service they provided was phenomenal! It was our first time visiting at Parma. The food was great! Highly recommend the Bruschetta and Margherita pizza! Everything tasted good, especially the drinks! We will be returning soon!

Go check out Parma Pizza Bar in downtown Yorkville. We got their dough bites and truffle fries as an appetizer, and they were a 10/10! Grab a drink with dinner as they have a fully stocked bar and great beverages on their menu. Their wood stone fire pizza was fire, literally. We got the spicy meatball, which had the perfect kick! We also tried one of our pizzas with a gluten-free crust, which was fantastic. You wouldn’t know it was gluten-free. Not feeling pizza? Try their soups, salads, pastas, burgers, or sandwiches. Come for the pizza and stay for the friendly service!
