Foods ok.. average.. the menu price is not what rings at register. They charge more than advertised.. I brought this to their attention and the server and manager just kept saying its not me its not me.. ummm didn’t say it was.. but it needs to be fixed. This is illegal and fines can be given up to 2500 per incident in Louisiana.. update.. went back today and the prices were correct.. the incident I gave review on was from a week ago

We almost did not come because of a bad review written about a year ago. That review was not accurate. Service was fast and friendly. Food was very good with a wide variety of options. Simple, tidy restaurant decor.

A brand new restaurant opened here in Plaquemine and it’s already one of my favorites. It may seem like “another” Mexican restaurant but it is so much more. The restaurant names itself as a blend of Latin-American foods and that is exactly what it is. Their menu is expensive with multiple different options from salads to steaks to flautas this place has something for everyone. It was so good I ate it two days in a row. One as take out and one as sit down so I feel confident in saying there is no drop in quality by choosing one over the other. My table had the quesobirra extra, baby back ribs, and the hamburger and let me tell you each one was great all on its own. The ribs were very well cooked, still moist and fell off the bone, the hamburger was well seasoned and quesobirra was flavorful and very well made. The staff is very friendly and checked on us multiple times to make sure we were still doing well. If I could change one aspect of the business itself I would probably add more traditional Latin American artwork and vibe to the restaurant itself but that can be added down the road. All in all I hope this becomes a staple restaurant in plaquemine and I am excited to see them succeed.

We got 2 of each taco (excluding the tripe) they had with the complimentary chips and salsa. The tacos were definitely worth the price, they were very full and came with an extra corn tortilla for each. Tacos were served with an amazing Verde salsa. The chips and salsa were really good as well, you can tell everything was made from scratch as the salsa tasted fresh and the chips were thick like I like them. My only issue was the temperature of the restaurant, the AC must not have been working and so it was pretty hot in there.

So driving up to the building you are greeted with black paint and a window unit.
Opening the door you are greeted with a dirty floor, and a drooping, stained, drop ceiling. Picture somewhere you’d find a dirty needle and a cockroach.
My hostess was stuffing her mouth with her kids running around.
We got seated and it was hot as hell inside the building I guess the window unit wasn’t pumping enough air.
Drink options:
Coke regular
Water tap
We get our stale cold chips and unseasoned salsa, they don’t have queso.
I didn’t get checked on for 30 minutes which sucked because I emptied a bottle of salt on to the flavorless salsa and I’m thirsty and I needed a refill.
We finally order.
I got soggy fried chicken with an extreme amount of lettuce and sauce soaking the texture out of anything with the slightest amount of crisp.
I leave, never to return.

This place is phenomenal from the outside. I didn’t even think they were open staying at the truckstop across the street. Was looking for something to eat. I figured why not food is delicious flavorful Service is good. Highly recommend the fajitas. Everything was super hot and fresh smelled amazing. I ordered the mixed fajitas And three extra sides of shrimp so that’s 15 extra shrimp. The bill was only $47. you really cannot go wrong. Here would come again.
