The kids loved watching their pizzas and dessert being made, and our crew devoured it all: pork + corn empanadas, the LFR salad, multiple pizzas (delicious gluten-free crust is APPROVED!), and of course the Always Ice Cream Company ice cream + cone platter!
Welcome to Edgewater, Timber!!
Will recommend and return when we’re back in Maryland.
They only have 12″ pizzas and a limited choice at that unless you want to pay for extras. Looked like my pie was thrown together and it was only cut into 4 pieces. The sauce was too sweet for my liking.
Went here on Sunday late afternoon. When you walk in the door there is an ordering counter on the right and a list of the pizzas on the wall. we picked 3 pizzas – A cheese for the kids, a Bentley and a Norman for the wife and I. They have a bunch of cans/bottles on the counter to showcase the beverage options and when we went to order bottles of water the kid at the counter asked if we were dining in or doing take out (something he should have asked before we ever ordered) and when we said we were dining there he told us that we would be given a pitcher of water. When the guy at the counter handed me my soda, I walked back to a table, not knowing I was supposed to take a number, someone later walked back with a number on a holder and put it on my table. In the back of the restaurant there is a bar that I didn’t know about. I asked for a drink menu and it ended up being the standard menu, so I had to submit a new order from the bar for a cocktail. pretty disjointed if you ask me, but the cocktails tasted very good.
The pizzas were good but are pricey for the size. As a former new yorker who worked at a pizza place as a kid, I would say the pizza is good. maybe a step or 2 below my fav local fancy pizza place, vin 909. they were very fast in getting our pies to us. The drink options are all very random and bougie. You can get a coke, but it is only in glass bottles. no fountain sodas. no standard beers. they use nugget ice which we really liked
My kids needed a more basic cheese pizza then what was on the menu, they weren’t fans of the basil and the larger chunks of cheese on their pie. also there are no juice options for my kids. they have high chairs but the menu isn’t really kid friendly.
They are going for a whole summer camp vibe with a maryland school twist and it works but I didn’t like how the tables are made of sperate boards of wood because they didn’t bother to make each board even. if you try to slide your glass across the table you are probably going to spill it when you hit an edge. simply planing the top of the table would have fixed this. not a deal breaker, but annoying. The metal cups we got at the table for the water were wet and stuck together, and the white plates were wet and a bit dirty. the metal water cups are small.
