We have eaten at The Green Door for over 40 years. The fried flour chips are a great starter. You have to try the enchiladas and fried tacos. Thanks so much for pleasing the taste buds and bringing back many fond memories from over the years.

We had the chance to dine again at Green Door before their closure in April. The fried taco, enchiladas and quesadillas were great. The pineapple salsa was very good. We will miss them. We hope new owners keep up the great food and service.

We stopped here at the end of a day trip through the area. Restaurant was clean , charming with simple decor. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Food wasn’t bad, and prices were great! I highly recommend the flour tortilla chips! It was a nice end to a great small town experience.

This place was such a pleasant surprise. Little things added up to make this one of the best Mexican food experiences I’ve had. Thick, tasty salsa, especially the pineapple salsa, were wonderful. Chicken fajitas were delicious. One of the unique things was presentation. Mini-tongs for handling the chicken and veggies made it so easy. Why have I never seen this in a restaurant before? Friendly, attentive service. Prices were reasonable, even my wife’s margarita. Worth a trip or detour to Ark City

Chips and salsa were good. Staff is friendly. The food however was odd. I’m not sure if I’m just spoiled with authentic Mexican food in my area but everything we ordered looked like it came out of a can or was thrown together with the bare minimum ingredients and lacked any traditional Mexican flavoring or taste. Seemed really popular and loved by the locals though!

This place has excellent service and a pretty good selection of food items on the menu. The reason I gave this a 4 star out of 5 is that the food lacked imagination. To elaborate the food was flavorful yet under seasoned, unfortunately is like every other Mexican restaurant in Arkansas City. To me and my family it seemed to lack that extra something to call the food unique. I would encourage if this is even a try it once thing that you give this place a go.

To start with, the service was wonderful. They were very kind and helpful. We had kids and they treated them with respect. The food was okay Mexican food, not fantastic but not Taco Bell either. The downside was the wait for food. Granted it was busy but it took over an hour to get food. Pretty hard to keep kids seated at a table for that long.

Their flour tortilla chips are AMAZING!!!!!! They literally melt in your mouth. Try the pineapple salsa. It’s unusually delicious. I’m super sad that they are closing their doors soon.

The food was authentic and delicious as well as being Hot from being just cooked, my portions were Very Large and I was full and Happy as my stomach was Thanking me for eating dinner there instead of my cooking at home, Try it You’ll Love it to. Their t-shirts slogan says, Mexican food so authentic you think twice before drinking the water. The table service was very good. I had a bacon cheeseburger, and I’ve had better. I should have had the Mexican food.
