The service in this location was great. Our server Kelly did a great job attending us. From what I understand the owners of Emily’s are the same for this establishment. I’m not sure what is the difference between these 2 restaurants. But for a burger that was hyped for the longest, in my opion, was not worth it. I ordered the Le Big Matt which had 2 patties, their special sauce, cheese, pickles & lettuce on a pretzel bun. The patties themselves lacked flavor and were a bit dry. And for $30 I expect a burger to blow my mind. The Detroit style pizza was good. I got the MVP which came with vodka sauce, red sauce, and pesto. The food was pretty heavy. So make sure you’re not doing anything important after.

Unfortunately the pizza completely missed the mark for us. The cheese blend has an odd taste to it and while the crust is relatively light for Detroit style, it too has a bit of an odd flavor profile. We liked the red sauce but outside of that the pizza was not for us.

Campbell Cross
The classic pizza is really delicious and the dough is relatively light when compared to other square style pizzas (MUCH lighter than an L&B slice for example). The sauce is nice and bright and refreshing. We liked the calabrian chili optional topping as well. I would recommend against the “chicken crunchers” appetizer because the crust on them is really hard and the chicken inside comes out fairly dry. I did like the spicy pineapple dip / sauce though. The blue cheese martini was very good.
Overall this is a solid 4/5 spot. It very much feels like a chain restaurant. Tons of tables. They have a changing table in one of the bathrooms which is good to know if you have a kid still in diapers.
I was a little put off by the fact that they seated us tucked away into a corner when the restaurant was basically empty, but thats me just nitpicking. I know they did it bc we had a two year old with us, but the only other diners here also had kids with them so I didnt understand why they would not only tuck us away into the corner facing a wall but also seat us right next to a table with 4 kids and 4 adults just behind us. The whole place was empty so why put us right next to a big party ?

There’s a lot of good pizza in NYC but Emmy Squared is officially my favorite. That cheesy toasted crust and those creative flavors simply can’t be beat! And if you have not tried the garlic sticks, do yourself a favor asap and order them!
Recently ate lunch at the Midtown West location with my family and we were all impressed with and appreciative of the hospitality and thoughtfulness of our server Ralph. He let us pick any table, changed the TV channel to animals for the kids, and was brought over extra napkins, all without us asking. Super thoughtful and helpful for having kids!

I found Emmy Squared Pizza on TikTok a few months ago and knew I had to try it! As I have recently started my vegan and gluten free diet, I have struggled with finding both accommodating pizzerias with both GF & Vegan options. I am from Staten Island, but I was in the city for a day and I had decided to finally stop by here for lunch! Kelly was a very attentive, friendly, and helpful waitress! I will definitely be coming back again next time I am in the city!! 10/10 recommend!!

I was excited about the vegan pizza being offered, however, I was not impressed. Coming into the restaurant we were greeted and it seemed like a cool place. Then it just felt awkward ordering and waiting for 20 minutes for the food. We were the only people in the restaurant. I asked for super lite vegan cheese because I’m just not a cheese lover and whelp they missed the mark on that. The pizza came out loaded with vegan cheese! The crust was thick and had a bit of a weird, indescribable flavor to it. The black spots freaked me out a bit. Underneath tgechrese where it met the crust, it had a little undercooked dough-like residue which wasn’t good at all. It lleft a terrible aftertaste. The sauce on top was okay, it wasn’t that bad. But I ended up scraping the majority of the cheese off and asking for sauce to dip my pizza crust in. For the price, it’s a hard pass for me to return. As a vegan of 15 years, I know which cheese brands are good and which are gross quick buys off the shelf. And whelp this was not the experience I expected. I do not plan to return.

We ended up there randomly walking. The dishwasher was broken so no dine in. They still let us order to go and eat outside at the tables. The MVP was literally the best pizza we ever had. We got a large, not regular which was a bit pricey $32 but my daughter and I ate all but three slices. It was fresh and the crust was crispy. The pesto sauce was amazing. We are so thankful to have stumbled in on this gem.

Kelly was totally fabulous! Greeted us with a huge smile! Saw we needed a glass of water with our wine. Deciding on a bite…maybe breadsticks? Or? So much to choose from. Don’t hesitate to relax on the upper west side…cozy spot.
