Stopped in this afternoon to grab a quick bite. We weren’t looking for a huge meal, so my wife and I both decided to try the Chicken Pickle Club Wrap.
Honestly, I was not expecting it to be this good. We didn’t order anything else, and we didn’t need to. This wrap is fantastic. The grilled chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly, the bacon was actually crispy (a rare feat in a wrap), and all the produce was fresh. The key is the pickle aoli and pickles, which adds a perfect tangy crunch that balances everything out.
I know it’s a sports bar with a whole menu, but I would come back just for this wrap alone. It came out of the kitchen quickly and the service (Lindsey) was friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for what to order, you can’t go wrong here.

First time at The Golden Pickle and Ascent Pickleball. This is unfortunately a cashless facility. This is a small bar/restaurant inside pickleball courts. It is very loud but we did visit on a tournament day. And the indoor seating is along the courts. There were many guests attending. We’d seen there was a brunch special and decided to check out the place. Husband’s work is getting into pickleball during their physical therapy portion of the week and this gave us an opportunity to see how the game is supposed to be played. We ordered loaded flatbread, chicken and waffles, and a waffle breakfast sandwich. These may be limited run special menu items. Heather waited on us and was friendly. The waffles were sweet; good but surprising. The flatbread was very good and too large to finish in one sitting. There is a regular menu, a full bar and self pour taps. There is outdoor seating available, though in February, after a big snow, it would have been a poor choice. There was a set of cornhole boards set up. There are tables, high top tables and some couch type chairs.The bathroom was clean and stocked. The environment-active pickleballers, everyone seemed to be social to friendly, willing to chat about the game. Attire-casual or athletic. Golden Pickle specific guest dressed in casual, jeans, Tee’s, sweatshirts, etc. Ascent guests wore a lot of tennis skirts, tennis dresses, shorts, tanks, tees. Willing to visit again and try the regular menu in the future. Heather also mentioned that there is a triva night and Wednesday Wing night. There are daily specials Mon-Sat. Posters advertising DJ Andy Diehl, superbowl party, live music and speed dating. There is also a pro shop for your pickleball shopping needs.

The Pickle Bar is such an asset to Lawrence County!! Even if you dont play pickleball, just go for dinner. Your immediately greeted when you enter the door. The food is fresh, homemade & delicious. The homemade soups (Zuppa Toscana & Chicken Gnocchi) are incredible. Highly recommend the Caprese Sandwich, Pulled Pork Nachos and anything with the Garlic Aioli. Excellent & friendly service from Alicia and Lyndsey and very clean bathrooms. 5

We had the pleasure to meet the manager, Alisha, who ensured that our rare evening out was perfect from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed karaoke night, and we will be back!

Ordered takeout and everything tasted like it sat in old, burnt fryer grease. Even the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread tasted like that which baffles me. Very disapointing because it initially looked very good before tasting it. The Espresso Chai Milkshake was good, but it was the only edible item I got, the rest was awful.

First of all, the food is supreme. Not your normal bar food. Large Sammie’s and wraps, wings, flatbreads and soup for the chilly days. It’s a great lunch and dinner spot. If you want to play pickle ball you can, or just enjoy watching a game. Live entertainment on weekends and trivia on Thursdays keep you entertained. The outside patio has a nice fire place and outdoor entertainment in the summer. You don’t have to be a pickle baller in order to enjoy this place!

I’m incredibly impressed with the food here! I usually hate chicken, often because its dry. But here the chicken wings were so moist. I also had the apple cheesecake, incredibly enjoyable too. It has a gentle caramel taste then turning into sharp cheesecake. Will 100% be going back, I’d give the owner a hug.

The food is decent, and service is average. The one irritating thing is they do NOT take cash. (At least they didn’t a few months ago.) I found this out after the bar tender opened a beer I ordered. Thankfully I had my card. I prefer cash and have not been back since.

Great food and friendly service in a super nice modern pickleball facility (Ascent Pickleball) . Menu has a tasty variety of sandwiches, salads and wings; plus an assortment of sodas, waters, and specialty drinks. There is a bar, tables and a lounge area with multiple tv’s to watch sports. Playing pickleball there is a bonus if you want to give it a try. The entire facility would be hard to beat anywhere.
