Maaaate! The best pizza I’ve had in my life. People dining in for lunch and everyone telling each other how much they are enjoying the pizza. TV wasn’t playing any drama news, but kids’ cartoons to keep everyone relaxed and enjoying life. Customer service is great. Everyone knew their job and did it to their best. The ‘boss’ treated the staff very respectfully. If you’re doing some shopping in the area, stop in for a slice – very affordable, quick, and easy.

The pizza was delicious (we tried more than I’m willing to admit for two adults and a toddler but they were so worth it). They were sweet to our daughter and we dined in. I’d be happy to visit here again when we come back to CT.

My wife and I stopped into New York Family Pizza for a casual dinner, and it turned into one of the best date nights we’ve had in ages. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home — friendly, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do.
The setup has that true New York vibe — simple, clean, and all about the food. And the food? Out of this world. The garlic knots are to die for — perfectly soft inside, crispy outside, drenched in buttery garlic goodness. Honestly, they’re the best I’ve ever had, even better than ones I’ve tried in Europe. I had the chicken parmesan slice, and it was cooked perfectly — cheesy, rich, and full of flavor. My wife had the white ricotta slice, and she said it was pure heaven.
Everything here tastes like it’s made with love — from the dough to the sauce to the way they treat you. If you’re anywhere near Groton and craving real New York–style pizza, this place is an absolute must. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Got in late without knowing it after the lunch special had ended but the guy at the register honored it for me anyway. Absolutely exceptional food every time I come here. Love the crust and the size! Perfect for lunch.

Came in and grabbed two buffalo slices and a Sicilian. Buffalo was great as always, it’s a staple in our household to grab a slice after grocery shopping.
We never had Sicilian pizza before, but let me tell you it’s a slice made for the gods. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The garlic in the sauce is just right. Felt like being back in my Italian American grandmother’s kitchen again. RIP grandma, you would have loved this place.

Overall, a very good experience the pizza was a solid 9.5 the atmosphere was a solid and the taste 9.75 they gave us two large slices as a sampler while we waited for a pizza. I highly recommend this establishment. The crust was amazing. Only personal thing I would add is a bit more sauce. And my wife would like hot honey.

Was recommend to this spot by a local. Walked in during lunch and was greeted by great customer service. I was explained the lunch specials, by who I assume is the owner. None of the specials exceeded $8, and included two slices. I enjoyed the pepperoni, but not the slices with chicken. There’s a good dining room in the back, where the Olympics were on. Very kid friendly, and a public restroom. I would come back because of the good service, great prices, and the enjoyable pepperoni slice I had.

THE SPOT. Pizza is delicious. By the slice or a whole pie. Thin and crispy. You can hear the crunch. Went during the $8 lunch special. 2 specialty slices and a drink. $6 for 2 cheese slices and a drink. Diverse selection. The garlic knots are a must. Extremely friendly staff. Seating in the back. Booths and tables. High chairs available. Red chili flakes, garlic powder, oregano, and pepper on the table. Parmesan in the fridge, you just have to ask. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed the pizza, I thought it was good. It probably could have used another minute or two in the oven, but it was not a big deal. It was not very greasy, which was nice. The sauce was tasty, and the cheese was spread evenly over the top.
Great atmosphere. I felt like I was in New York with how well the space was utilized.
