I just want to give a huge shoutout to this Starbucks! I order here almost every day (yes, I admit, it’s an addiction!). At one point, my app switched from my name to my husband’s, but the team still always recognized me and got my order right.
Yesterday, my sister placed my order through her app since she was picking it up for me. Even though it was under a completely different name, they still knew it was my order, verified that it was dairy-free, and even wrote “hello” to me on the cup!
That kind of attention to detail and personal touch is rare. This team truly goes above and beyond—not just doing their jobs but providing excellent customer service and making customers feel genuinely valued. Thank you to the amazing team at this Starbucks!
Anyway, to give you an idea of wait times before coming here, on average there’s two or three cars ahead of me by the time I get to place my drive thru order, and it isn’t unheard of to wait 7-10 minutes before hitting the payment window. For those of you who think I’m just being a millennial, consider the dozens of Starbucks around town where the longest wait is 5 minutes on a RARE occasion.
For what it’s worth, it’s Starbucks and their drinks are still good. But either skip this location or go inside to order.
The store wasn’t particularly busy at the time, so the interaction felt unnecessary and a little unwelcoming.
In today’s challenging economic times, where customers have many options, I believe it’s essential that businesses treat people with respect and a welcoming spirit . I’ve spent a lot of money at Starbucks over the years, but this experience left me hesitant to return to this particular location—especially given the number of great coffee houses nearby in the busy Northgate area.
