I rate and try Pad Thai across the entire Pacific Northwest, and I can say that this is a really yummy Pad Thai for the area and a really nice atmosphere.
Unlike typical Pad Thai you will find around here, this has a much thicker (and more absorbing) sauce. The noodles are all coated in this kind of thicker sauce (not too thick, but simply thicker than standard), which is by all means not a bad thing and I actually quite enjoyed it. Texture is great and so is looks, but most importantly the taste ispretty solid, but more savory than spicy (or maybe considered sweet & savory). I would say this is like a high rating for constinency/texture, like an 8, but the flavor is like a 7.5. although it is good, I personally find this savory flavor to be a little too overpowering.
Service was okay. It might have been that I came in at a slower time or that it was only this younger boy serving, but really got the “I don’t care” vibe. Another lady helped me after and she was quite sweet, but I would give a 6/10 for service.
Overall this place was pretty good, and deserves a 5 for Portland.

I’ve loved this place for years and have yet to be disappointed. I recently tried the golden squid and I honestly think it’s the best squid I’ve ever had. It wasn’t a fluke the first time I got it either because I’ve gotten it a few times and it’s always amazing!
I’ve tried many items from Thai Pod, but lately I’ve been ordering #54, Pad Woon Sen, bean curd noodles. Can’t get enough of them. My boyfriend got the Pad Thai and enjoyed it. (Pictures provided)
The staff always greet you with a smile, even when overloaded with orders and they are always super friendly. I highly recommend if you’re looking for some amazing Thai food.

We arrived for an early dinner just before the dinner rush. A steady stream came and went throughout the hr, or so we were there.our server was so funny and pleasant. While manning the whole front end, she still managed to be attentive and on top of everything we needed. Definitely will be back. Large portions that are just right and skillfully rendered. I look forward to returning in the near future

Sweet little Thai place. I get lunch takeouts here. Their lunch menu is great. Curry, stir fries and their soup are my favorites.I also like their interior – very bright and lots decorations. Lots exotic plants here makes it feels very warm and comfortable.

We went here yesterday for a quick lunch, and were absolutely amazed. Walking in the door was like entering a greenhouse, there were just that many plants. The waiter was as friendly as any I have ever met, and the food, when it came, was delightful. The pumpkin curry was perhaps the best Thai food I have ever had. I will definitely be back next week.

So myself and three friends came for dinner here last night. The gentleman who was working the front of house was one of the best servers I have ever seen. He was genuine, helpful and loved the food he was serving. This family run restaurant is a must visit but please beware, when it said hot it means it’s hot!! Il be back next year for sure!!
