Supporting local business in Emeryville. Note that this place is on Christie opposite to FedEx, not inside the public market.
The noodles, while not the best pho in the bay area, they are decent. Both noodles they served came with delicious broth. Unlike many pho places, these didn’t leave you with a dry mouth. Wish their beef can be softer and more tendered – that’s the only (but critical) place to lose shine. You know – always room for improvement. Can’t wait to come back and try their banh mi.

I’ve noticed the sidewalk sign for the last few weeks and finally stopped in today. I had the vermicelli noodle plate with chicken. It was delicious! Everything tasted very fresh and it came with a good portion of sauce on the side. Will be back.

Not sure if they changed the owner or so. The menu is different and the foods also taste completely different.
I order shrimp spring roll but the sauce has heavy coconut flavor which I am not the fan of that.

A friend recommended that I try this place while I was visiting from Las Vegas. This place has great food and Boba drinks. You are near the Bay in the Emeryville area so the weather is nice, with plenty of shopping near by. When you walk in the door you are greeted with staff that are eager to serve you. They have an assortment of Bun MI sandwiches, and a great selection of Boba drinks. I can’t say enough about this. I will definitely visit again!!

Great drinks. I had the Ube coffee. My wife had a matcha latte. They ask you how sweet you want your drinks. Get the nem nuong banh mi or beef and onion banh mi. My wife and I felt like we were back in Vietnam when we saw the cholimex and chin-su sauce on the tables for the customers. The cafe is pretty no frills and has limited space. Lunch was pretty cheap, and it was good. I’d come back to Comeback Cafe.

The mushroom tofu spring rolls are something worth writing about! They’re quite flavorful, yummy, and light. It’s a perfect on-the-go meal, and such a reasonable price. And the service was great! I’ll be back to try their other vegetarian options.
