One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in London & surrounding areas. The fish was fresh, with a lovely mild flavor, and the batter was just right – light but well fried. The portions were also just right. Service was also quick, efficient and pleasant. All in all a very good experience!

We had an outstanding experience at Halibut House in St Thomas. Their cod and haddock is fresh and scrumptious. The fries are chipwagon good. The salads and greens were very fresh and crisp. The place was immaculate. There were 8 customers and the hostess we had was absolutely charming and everyone looked satisfied. You really can’t get better fish and chips or service anywhere. If you haven’t had a chance to experience the Halibut House. Take a pilgrimage to one the best fish and chip places in town, the Halibut House..I’ll bet SpongeBob eats here. I had a pleasant experience. The food was good, and the portion sizes were satisfying, making it a great value for the price. However, I did find that the amount of tartar sauce provided was insufficient, even when I requested more. Despite this minor drawback, I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be ordering again in the future!

We were a bit unsure when we first walked in. It looks like a takeout restaurant, but there are open concept booths to sit in. The service was spotty at first but it improved when our food was brought out.
The food was really very good! I was super impressed because I am not a big fish eater. The fries taste like they are right out of a chip truck, so good and the fish was excellent. We will gladly go back!

I’ve been for breakfast on several occasions. Great value, excellent service and a very clean, comfortable restaurant. The breakfast sausage isn’t a top choice for me. I think other products could offer better flavor but that’s just my opinion. And, for reasons unknown, the kitchen won’t let me mix bacon and sausage. It’s bacon OR sausage and impossible to get a mix.
Overall, a solid breakfast menu and I’ll keep going back. Great coffee, too… better than other local spots.
Update: The Breakast Skillet is excellent. And huge. Enough to share, or ideal for anyone who is REALLY hungry. It’s a grilled combo dish with eggs, bacon, cheese, potato, mushrooms, onion and green pepper all presented in a cast iron skillet with toast on the side. WOW!!

4⭐️ – 07/02/2023 – Went here during my visit to Aylmer because of a recommendation. The employees were attentive and fast at working, greeted us right when we entered and got us a table right away. When serving the food, they forgot which plate had which fish so there was a little misunderstanding there. In the end I am not quite confident we all got the fish we ordered since the waiter himself was confused as well. Aside from that, we ordered the Homemade Fish Chowder, Onion Rings, Calamari, Haddock and Chips, and the Halibut Fish Crispies.
Homemade Fish Chowder – Delicious, I tasted that hint of fish flavour inside the creamy chowder. Exactly how I would like my fish chowder.
Onion Rings – Good and crispy, how one would expect onion rings to be like.
Calamari – Meh, the portion stated that it could serve 2, however from the picture I posted, it doesn’t seem to be the case. Barely enough to serve one of us.
Haddock and Chips – Good, the fish was filling but the fries weren’t crispy, overall still delicious. The coleslaw also tasted good along with the entire meal.
Halibut Fish Crispies – Good, the fish was decent but the fries weren’t crispy. This also came with coleslaw which helped put together the entire meal.
Overall the experience here was pleasant, I do recommend coming here if you are ever nearby!

“Guys, seriously, you have to try this place if you’re in St. Thomas. The breakfast was amazing! I had the Breakfast Poutine Skillet, and omg, just look at that cheese pull! Crispy, golden, cylindrical clouds of potato heaven, and the hollandaise sauce was so rich and creamy. The two sunny-side-up eggs on top were just perfection. The cheese sizzled into a fine, crisp wafer at the bottom of the skillet, forcing you to dig through all the deliciousness just to get a precious bite. This dish was impressive—thank you guys so much!

Went with my mum and grandson. We ordered the fish tacos, 2 PC haddock with chips, onion rings. When the portions arrived, they were perfect size and we were hungry. The chips reminded me of old English chips you get wrapped in newspaper, very authentic. The fish and batter were so tasty…nice and crispy with light batter and the fish was nice and flaky and thick. Our server was right on top of our order and very friendly. Great price for 3 hungry people. We’ll done and proud to be Canadian.
