I was in the area shopping so I stopped in for a late lunch. It was a Saturday at 1:30 and there were.only three people seated and a few take out orders being picked up. The people were very friendly and the server excellent. I thought there would be more Pho and ramen options. The menu had lots of sushi choices.
I got a Dragon Ball with crab as a starter which was excellent. I loved the avocado and the crunchiness of it. The ramen bowl with shrimp was next. It came piping hot. At first I thought the broth was a little underwhelming and lacked flavor. It may have been due to the temperature. As it cooled I enjoyed it more and more. The shrimp seemed very flavorful and fresh. I took half home for leftovers. I will visit again when I’m in the area. Overall a great experience.

We stopped here passing through Asheville. My wife loved the udon noodles and I had the chicken with vegetables. It was outstanding. The staff were so kind and the restaurant and bathrooms were as clean as can be. Wonderful experience!

Udon is open again – Same location as before Helene but with the decor and ambiance all fresh and new. Everything tastes just as good as it looks and everyone there is just as nice as ever. Had a marvelous lunch today including noodles, maki, hibachi and special roll selections and they were all delicious and moderately priced – and at the special Grand Re-Opening discount of 20% (good to 9/9) even more so!

We had an amazing first experience tonight at Udon Sushi & Noodle! Our server was so kind and attentive. I’m bummed I didn’t catch his name. Everything came out quickly but fresh! Seriously, such a good value for what we got. We got 3 appetizers and 3 rolls for less than $60 before tip. I couldn’t believe how affordable it was for being as tasty as it was. Our favorite app was a tie between the tuna tataki and homemade dumplings. Our favorite roll was the snow dragon! We don’t come to this side of Asheville very often but we definitely plan to come back.

I placed a larger online order after getting a menu in the mail. Excellent offerings. Place a pick up order with a variety of hot and cold items. The sushi is fresh and GENEROUS portions!! The rolls are tight and a big thing with Asian food in the US..not overly sweet which is a HUGE bonus. Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi good..big beautiful shrimp. Family is kind too…found out mom does fresh hand rolled dumplings every 2 days ❤️ and the sushi fish is fresh and not sitting for days. Small eat in space, but comfortable. I wish we dropped in sooner!!!

It’s an okay place to pick up something quick. Our food really didn’t have much flavor to it at all. Even the sushi was very bland for some odd reason.. The clear soup was SUPER greasy..that’s All you could really taste. The Customer service was good. There was a kid in the restaurant sitting right at the sushi with a really bad cold and coughing like crazy unfortunately

The food was tasty and the service was good. Excellent portion sizes for the price. Our party was able to take advantage of the daily special and received a large order of tempura chicken with sweet/sour sauce on the house. We especially recommend the bento box because it was a great “sampler”. We were all very pleased with our meals and will likely return.
Update: Still spectacular! Updating everything to 5 starts. This is turning into our “go to” place when we are in town to visit family and don’t want to cook.

Great place close to Walmart and Kohl’s. Staff were attentive and made sure any questions were answered. Food came out quickly and the lunch specials were exactly what I was looking for. Good price and great food all the way around! Group favorites has to be the spider and shrimp rolls! Cheers!!
