Breakfast was very bland and small portions. Pancakes were very tough, and had no flavor. Bacon was thin but crunchy, and eggs a good size. Prices aren’t to bad. However there are much better places to have breakfast in town. Do your self a favor and go elsewhere.

This is one of those places that when you eat there you feel like you are with family. For the last 3 years everytime I’m in Houghton this is the only place I’ll eat. The food is classic comfort and the quality is definitely above average. The host is always funny/friendly and truely makes the experience what it is. Thanks for a great time as always!

Visited Powell’s Family Restaurant this morning. Fast friendly service. Coffee was hot and good. Standard breakfast fare, nice lake vibe, good biscuits and gravy, nice place to stop. We recommend this place.
