After being disappointed by sold-out shops in New York City, I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect bagel. I saw a Reel for The Bagel Spot and showed my other half. He decided we would make the 3-hour trek from Fort Wayne, IN for my birthday. Honestly, I had high expectations for this trip, and they were totally met!
The shop is small and busy, but the staff has their system down to a science—they really know how to “roll” with the punches. I ordered the French Toast bagel with walnut cream cheese and a side of bacon. It’s the perfect combo of sweet and savory.
For the skeptics who think it’s overpriced: you’re “shmear-ly” mistaken. These bagels are huge and incredibly filling. It was “everything” I hoped for and well worth the drive. We will definitely be back for a “round” two!

Wow! First time here! Bagels are huge, fresh, soft in the inside, nice crust on the outside! A bit more than I usually pay for bagels but as for the quality, it’s totally worth it! Service was fast and friendly! Definitely will be back! Also- all of their special cream cheeses appear to be made in house. The Jalapeno cheese one was delicious!

Bagel Spot is a real gem-there are not many places in the area where you can get NY-style bagels. They have a huge variety including Black Russian and my wife’s fav Pumpernickel. Lots of sandwich choices for both breakfast and lunch, plus specialty coffees. Would highly recommend!

Stopped by here on a whim as I always see them on food delivery apps… Completely impressed! I was telling the worker that aside from their bagels and bagel sandwiches, they have so many other fantastic items on the menu. I cannot wait to come by and try! I’m super simple with my bagels and either just like it toasted with cream cheese or egg and cheese. Both of them exceeded my expectations. Not too burnt, not too soft and just enough items to be filling!

Best bagel I’ve ever had (whole wheat everything). There was a long line on Sunday morning and they handled it so well. It went fast, the bagels were perfect, and they were still fully stocked. Definitely recommend.

A new kid on the block? Yes, and it has amazing bagels and more. You can see, and taste, that the bagels, croissants and muffins are made in house. Nothing mass produced, and I don’t mind the light burn in my last order.
The cream cheese is also great, a little bit pricey to be fair, but okay.
The only complaint I have, the location itself is a bit small. Basically, no space to wait for your order. And if you want to eat inside, you have to live with the occasional guest, standing and waiting next to your table.
But overall, my new favorite spot.

I just recently moved to rochester hills, always on the lookout for a good bagel being from the jersey area. I was shocked and amazed to find this right Down the street from me within 5 minutes. The best best bagels in the world. Amazing, amazing, amazing. If they have not been there, you have to go a little insider treat. Ask for the Jersey special. Let’s see what you get. It’s not on the menu. It’s a Jersey staple. The owners of this place were amazingly friendly unwelcoming.
I also got the Nova sandwich. That’s the locks with the onions and the tomato and the capers and cream cheese, it was absolutely from heaven. I can’t say anything good enough. You just have to go and treat yourself to a real Real bagel

DELICIOUS!!!! I was looking for a good NY style bagel and this is THE spot. The cream cheese and bagel were absolutely amazing. If I lived closer I’d be here all the time!

We were heading to a morning event in Pontiac and looking for a breakfast spot nearby, which is how we came across this place. I am VERY particular about bagels, but this place was top quality! We later learned that the owner is from New Jersey, so clearly we were dealing with people who had high standards for bagels!
I had the whole wheat everything bagel with the lox spread. There was a ton of lox in this spread, which is pretty rare! My wife had the Chicken Palermo and said it had great flavor.
Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. There are also 3 or 4 tables, if you want to dine in (we were the only people doing that on the morning we were there).
A great spot for bagels (pun intended) – I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing fresh breakfast bagel sandwich! Unlike other places, Bagel Spot cooks their meats and eggs properly—no microwaving here. The team behind the counter proudly shared that they do it the right way, East Coast style. I customized my own breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and a spread of plain cream cheese—absolutely delicious! This new spot is quickly gaining popularity, but they keep things moving with fast and efficient service.
