Lunch roll special for $17 is a steal! Miso soup was SO good, the vibes were great, and the sushi was really yummy. We had the shrimp tempura, Bangkok, spider, and spicy salmon rolls and they were really great with excellent and quick service. The orange slices at the end were a great touch and super fresh and juicy. Ambiance was also very nice. Great place to catch up with friends or scratch that sushi craving. Would definitely recommend!

Food is just ok. Prices are what you’d expect in Montclair. Came on a non busy Friday afternoon (we were the only people in the restaurant). The server was so/so. She didn’t seem to want to assist us outside of taking our orders though. She got my order wrong however I said it was fine and ordered a side of steak (my original order) instead of sending it back because I hate complaining. She comes back ten minutes later to explain to me it would be an additional $8 (without the steak) which I then stated was perfectly fine as I don’t mind paying for my food although it was HER mistake. Anytime I asked for something (napkins, to go containers, etc) she gave a look as if I inconvenienced her. For the amount of food we had, two small to go trays just simply wasn’t enough. She scowled at us like we had the audacity to ask for another to go tray. Pretty weird service being that it’s completely empty and all you’re doing is on your phone. We ended up packing our food half way thru and just leaving. Not a terribly bad experience, just not the best.

Got some sushi and it was delicious, some items are little overpriced (expected in Montclair). The sushi is fresh and the service is great. Would definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

Love this place!
Nori Sushi is one of my favorite spots. The food is super tasty — everything we ordered was delicious, and the sushi boats look like a piece of art! Really impressed with the presentation and the flavor. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for what you get.
The service is awesome. All the waitresses are super kind and friendly — they really make you feel welcome. They’re especially sweet with kids, which I really appreciated. It’s definitely a kid-friendly place, which makes dining out with the family so much easier. My 2 kids definitely had a good time here.
Food comes out pretty fast too, which is always a plus when you’re hungry (or dining with little ones!).
The restaurant is really clean and has a nice vibe. Plenty of space, and it feels cozy but not crowded.
Also, parking is no problem — there’s a lot behind the restaurant with both free and paid spots.
Highly recommend checking it out. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Had a wonderful lunch at Nori in Montclair today. Service was great and the food was delicious! One of our friends can’t eat raw fish but they had plenty of other hot food dishes as well as cooked/vegetarian rolls options that were so yummy. Will be back soon~

Wow! After dining here for 20+ years, I’d expect to have a story about the time something failed to meet our expectations. Forget it!
Squeamish about raw fish? Or maybe allergic to the word, sushi? Fear not; Nori’s artfully crafted menu features many great alternative selections!
We’re particularly fond of the Filet Mignon teriyaki. Served over sautéed onions, the grill chef charred my Filet Mignon to a perfect rare, as requested.
Another of our group favorites is the HB Fried side dishes. Available in vegetable, steak, or our favorite, HB Chicken Fried Noodle, you can always enjoy the HB Chicken Fried Rice, instead.
Sushi lovers will enjoy the great value of one of two boat-sized offerings. We have had as many as 6 adults and have failed to “sink” a boat. Of course, it may be due to any of the wonderful appetizers we enjoy beforehand!
Rest assured, Nori’s talented chefs continue to provide fresh sushi, sashimi and assorted vegetarian choices for everyone’s palette. Be prepared to enjoy good food, prepared artfully!

Ordered some sushi to go. The sushi was good.
I am just glad that we didnt dine in, as the server was rude and seems to be in a hurry when there was only 3 tables occupied only.
Will come back for the food but will opt again for to go as we dont want to be served by rude person.

They managed to open and stay open during snowstorm (pretty much the only place in town) for which I will be forever grateful.
I ordered their spicy ramen, and it was delicious and prepared really quickly. Hostess very kindly offered me a complimentary hot tea while I was waiting which was very appreciated on a cold snowy day.
