Great to have this new place in our neck of the woods. It was really nice and clean. Surprisingly nice atmosphere that exceeded expectations. The food was a bit of a let down for the price point. My husband got the rosemary shrimp and he struggled peeling the overcooked shrimp. I ordered stuffed shrimp special. When it came out I thought it was an appetizer, there was barely any food. Presentation was great, it’s looked amazing. Taste was below expectations. Would give it another try and hope for better results.

We can highly recommend JTRT Bistro without hesitation. We have dined here several times and are always impressed by the creative cuisine and depth of flavors in all dishes. A great staff, attentive and friendly, and Mr. Ron (chef/owner) came out to greet us and make sure we were pleased with our meals. We also find the price point to be exceptional and we always leave pleased and looking forward to our next visit.

My first time visiting the restaurant for a Special Mother’s Day brunch reservation and upon entering was greeted numerous times walking in door and all mothers were handed red roses as well. Everything was nice, clean and beautiful. Seated promptly and ordered Salmon, buttered potatoes and broccoli along with fried green tomatoes with a sauce and crab meat on top and dessert was white chocolate bread pudding and Lord have mercy! The salmon fell apart, so tender you cut with fork, juicy and very flavorful. The broccoli was steamed to my perfection and potatoes was delicious as well. Very friendly and family environment. Will be returning soon.

My Mom took me here for my birthday. It was such a nice surprise!! The food was excellent, especially the seafood gumbo. The staff was really attentive and comfortable. The owner even came and chatted with us for a bit. I will definitely stop by there again next time I am in town!

So grateful to be able to get a delicious meal in our neck of the woods. The food was awesome. I had the spinach dip, BBQ shrimp, and creme brule. They were all wonderful (especially the shrimp). My husband had the burger. Alcohol license is pending with the parish, but we will certainly be back!

I pray this restaurant sticks around. I’d put it up there with the best food in Covington as the food was absolutely excellent. I had the beef short rib melt in your mouth delicious and my wife had the stuffed eggplant which was perfectly balanced and seasoned just right. The fried green tomatoes were savory and tangy and the crab bre puff pastry with the mushroom sauce was deliciously creamy. The creme brulee and homemade ice cream was heaven on a spoon. Definitely recommend trying this place out. I wish I would have taken pictures because the presentation was on point.

Took a friend here for her Birthday. The food was delicious and the staff was helpful and friendly! Derik and Katy made her Birthday extra special. They even provided a complimentary bread pudding with candle and sang Happy Birthday! I will return to try some other dishes I spotted on the menu!
