Was a Christmas gathering of three …and what a huge disappointment…wedge salad warm wilty and three bites 10.00 bucks, why do we seep fried and burn the hell out of wonderful Brussels sprouts!!?? They did them over and burned them again…then they put an oil on them and give you a burnt gut ache. Ordered a beautiful halibut bit it was dry and the edges were like jerky, beautiful au gratin in a warm cheese sauce carmelized top…nope a lump of sliced potatoes dry…mushrooms were tasty! Waitress was frazzled and wanted to rush us…table behind sent there 114.00 steak back horrible and burnt hashbrowns. Pay more attention to the proteins. Seriously needs a kitchen personal evaluation. 250 for the disaster. Texas Roadhouse 75 bucks and you have a great steak dinner.!

This is going to be a somewhat unique review. I had the opportunity to eat here once a week for five weeks in a row for a significantly discounted price. I would otherwise not have visited this restaurant.

First, I want to say that the staff are the best part about this restaurant. Everyone is friendly, polite, helpful, etc. I have no complaints whatsoever about the staff.

After 5 visits, I determined that the dishes here are very overpriced, and more importantly, they’re inconsistent.

The first night here I ordered the veal chop. The veal chop itself was fantastic. Amazing, even. For some reason the chef has decided to put giant pea pods on top of the dish. They make no sense, in a culinary sense, and were not even cooked well. There was a sauce that was mild and inoffensive, completely unnecessary. The creamed spinach, as a side, was probably the best I have ever had. Great experience overall.

The second night I split the “Dry-aged Bone-in Ribeye with my fiancé. It was edible, but nothing more than that. It was $114 on the menu and it was not good. I know for a fact I would get a better steak at Applebee’s. It was tough and had no marbling. Truly a waste of money. If I had been paying full price I would never set foot in this place again and I might even complain to the manager.

The third night I had the “Dry-aged Duroc pork chop.” It was cooked perfectly and it was one of the best things I ate here. I’ve never heard of dry aged pork before, but this was a great pork chop. Fortunately, the waitress asked if I wanted my beer-mustard sauce on the side. I began to notice a pattern with the sauce.

Night four, I ordered the “Domestic double-bone lamb chops.” This dish was almost offensive. There was no seasoning on the lamb chops. No salt at all. There was a sauce everywhere on the plate, and it was unidentifiable. Two streaks of tomato paste mixed with Moroccan-type seasonings were spread across the plate. This type of seasoning is not typically served with grilled lamb ordered medium-rare, as it isn’t a good combination. These seasonings work well with Moroccan Tajin, but they don’t work well with medium-rare grilled lamb. I am a particular fan of lamb, and I found this dish to be horrible. It’s on the menu for $82.

The fifth and final night I decided to order the veal chop again, because it was so good the first time. It arrived slightly overcooked, and, more importantly, it was unevenly cooked with the distinct taste of burned black pepper. This was what knocked the rating down to a 3 from a 4.

I can’t recommend that anyone eat here. It’s a restaurant that wishes it was much better than it really is, and the prices don’t reflect the quality you’re likely to be given. If you must eat here, I recommend the creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and the pork chop. Don’t waste lots of money paying for what you think is going to be luxury. I can tell you it’s not worth it.

Our server was THE BEST I’ve ever experienced!! (His name was Gerard) Very well versed on all the specials, all aspects of the menu, pairings for cocktails and wine options. The (arrival) times of all our courses were perfectly timed. Water, then cocktails, followed by our soup choice. When we literally finished our soup, our beautifully done steak Oscar was delivered to our table. He also recommended a dessert to share, which was delicious. (The Lava Cake) He truly was bar-none as far as any service I have ever experienced. The food was fantastic, however it is because of Gerard I will most certainly return. Thank you!

March 22nd I went there to celebrate my spouses 40th Birthday around 5:30pm and we both got the king prime rib which was the best prime rib I’ve ever had. I got the loaded baked potato and he got the sweet potato with cinnamon butter and those food items were absolutely Amazing, before our main course we got the fried calamari and the bread basket, best tasting ever!!, then we got a cinnamon swirl cheesecake and OMG we love love loved and on top of it they gave us a complimentary truffle raspberry cake with a Happy birthday written in the chocolate bar in the cake with lit candles…Our experience was Spitactular and our waiter Matthew did such a great job serving our table surprising us with the birthday Cake, also the rest of the staff was awesome because it seemed all waiters and waitresses were helping one another with all tables, so we had someone bring water, someone help with clearing the table when needed and someone pack up our food, all staff was so so sweet and we were absolutely impressed We will be back for sure, We were happy and my spouse had a wonderful birthday dinner experience..Complements to the chef on that food as well..again thank you to our waiter matthew for such great service as well

Meticulous and professional wait staff. Nothing slips by this team. From the level of your drink, position of a fork, temperature of each plate, fresh silverware with each meal course….details matter.
Crab cakes were beautifully presented, and delicious.
Caesar salad was very good, no bitterness to the greens and just the perfect amount of dressing tossed in.
Fried Brussels were well complimented by the mustard based condiment laced around the bowl.
The Shrimp and Barramundi had a variety of tasty condiments surrounding them. Would like to have seen a touch more crust on the fish but was well satisfied with the results as presented.
Will most certainly try the steak options on my next visit.
Impressed.

If you’re looking for supper class dining with great food and service this place definitely hits the spot. It does come with a price though. My wife must make exceptional deviled eggs. We thought we were in for a rare treat but found them to be far below what is made in my kitchen at home. We also ordered the brussel sprouts and ended up returning them. They were mostly burnt leaves with very few sprouts. Once again this was way under expectations. The steak my wife had was a solid 10 though and my sister order the bison short ribs which also qualifies for a 10. The brother in law and I each had the prime rib which was good but didn’t compare to the steak or ribs. Amazing service all around. The staff sure knows what they are doing. Whether we will be back is a good question. I have a feeling the other restaurants could provide an equally good meal at a much lower price point.

You can also see in the photo of one of our drinks how dirty the wall is.

Celebration of our #39 Wedding Anniversary. 09.07.1985

Had reservations, had contacted prior to our arrival our seating requests. Hostess was going to seat us in the area and table I had specifically requested not to be seated at.
The problem was immediately resolved and we were seated in the area and table we had requested.

Excellent service and attention to detail observed.

Attended the Midland Concert in the Showroom after the meal.

Went in on a busy night, before a show we went to attend. Had good interaction, and service from our waiter. The wild rice was so delicious! Very rich, flavorful, and creamy. Got to try the Filet mignon, and the Dried Aged T-bone. Both were perfectly cooked, and seasoned. Mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts were good, and well seasoned. Would definitely go again!

First let me start out with customer service and waitstaff were professional and impeccable. We were sat down quickly with drink orders taken promptly. The atmosphere was nice and intimate though i felt some tables may have been to close for comfort. The food prices were reasonable compared to other steakhouses we frequent. The steak was juicy and done exactly as requested. The sides were a good portion for the price and were also delicious. At this time due to inflation i feel the lobster tail was a littke overpriced but was still done perfectly and taste great. The drinks were strong but could lose the block of ice in each cup that is used. The restaurant was clean and sanitary but the hours are limited. I’d definitely recommend this for a special occasion. We were not treated second hand due to dressing down and that says alot. We definitely enjoyed ourselves.

First time visiting Mystic Steakhouse and what a great little date night after winning at the slots! Our server, Stephanie, was a delight! She was very helpful when it came to information on allergies and items on the menu. My partner wanted just plain melted butter for his shrimp and Stephanie brought him a little tea light to keep his butter warm. She checked on us and was so kind and personable.

Would recommend the spicy shrimp and crème brûlée! Excellent and filling.
