The Half Note Lounge is a relaxing and comfortable place to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine while listening to some fine performers on piano or guitar. The food menu offers many tasty selections and prices are reasonable. The charcuterie board is exceptional!

Just had the worst New Year’s Eve of my life. The manager Jennifer was extremely rude and raise her voice at me for “illegally having a wine bottle” at the venue. When I showed her I paid a cork fee she yank the receipt from my hand and went to speak with her staff. Her staff never mentioned we couldn’t have the wine at the venue, otherwise why would I pay for a cork fee? . I tried to explain and yet she kept raising her voice at me and took away my full glass and grabbed my bottle and said “you have to leave bye bye goodnight”
Jennifer was so rude and ruined my new years evening. I was having a great time awaiting for the new year and my birthday Jan 1. This is the memory I take away for visiting Winchester VA and this bar, with a rude and unprofessional manager.

We were staying the the George Washington and popped in to the half note for a happy hour drink. Both the service and happy hour were good. Daily happy hour during the week from5-7, $7 martinis, $4 rail drinks.
