Always a nice place to visit. Love the beer selection, the pizzas are very good, the atmosphere is great, the location is right down town and the staff is aways friendly. If you go early afternoon and see JP there, he is very knowledgeable of all the craft beers. Always enjoy talking to him.

Great gem in Winter Haven. You purchase a wrist band and select a beer. The wrist band keeps track of how many pints you consumed, running a tab and paying when your done. Their personal pizza and wings are delicious.

GREAT brew pub! Pay by the ounce YOU pour! Try a small sample. If you like get a full glass! The peanut butter jelly intrigued me. Was the only one of beers pictured that I went back for a full glass! The staff was amazingly friendly and walked me through some of the 30+ pours they had! Not just beer but ciders wine and yes for you traditional beer drinkers there was one!

Disappointing Service Overshadowed a Promising Experience at Union Taproom!
We were thrilled to visit Union Taproom, drawn by the great reviews, lounging atmosphere and a shelf full of board/card games. Unfortunately, poor service and a lack of guidance made our first visit uncomfortable.
Upon entering, we approached the counter, but the staff member didn’t acknowledge us, despite us standing just a few feet away. She was focused on a computer issue, which is understandable, but a simple greeting or question like, “First time here?” would have helped. Instead, when we asked if we seat ourselves, her response felt dismissive, making us feel like an inconvenience.
The self-pour system—paying by the ounce with a bracelet (found this information online, not from staff) is unique but confusing for newcomers. There’s no table service, which is fine, but it wasn’t clear we needed to order at the counter. We waited at a table for several minutes before figuring this out, even having to ask how to get water.
The lack of basic orientation for first-timers soured our experience. Clearer signage or a quick explanation at the counter would have make a huge difference, instead of brusque comments about starting a tab.
The thin-crust pizza was just okay, the tots were good, and the bottled “old-fashioned” sodas were reasonably priced. Still, we never felt comfortable, as the staff’s unwelcoming vibe made us feel like a burden, which could be why it wasn’t very busy for a Saturday evening. We really wanted to love Union Taproom, but the service needs improvement to match its potential. I hope the staff can be more proactive in welcoming guests, especially those unfamiliar with the process.

First time here and loved it! The staff was so nice and friendly. Food was great and a very nice selection of beer, sours, and even wine. Best part is the puppy was able to be with us!

The Tab Room is such a fun place to hang out! I love that you can try different beers by the ounce — it’s a great way to sample new flavors without committing to a full glass. Their pizza is amazing too — the bread is perfectly baked and full of flavor. Plus, the place is very kid-friendly, which makes it easy to enjoy a relaxed meal with family. Definitely recommend!

First off I want to say the pizza was delicious and we loved the beer wall. But when we arrived and asked where we could sit with 5 guests we were told basically to sit where we wanted. So we pushed 2 tables together while the employees watched while standing up front(3 of them) talking. Also there was a loud party up front with 3 wild children. Running from front to back screaming and yelling like they were in a playground. They had brought huge toys sitting in the middle of the aisle. It was hard to even have a conversation. I just didn’t understand why the woman in the front didn’t do something about the situation. The young people working were friendly and polite. Will try again and hope to have a better experience.
