We found this gem of a restaurant traveling home to California while we stayed a night in town. The food was amazing and we loved the feel of the restaurant. Cozy and relaxed with comfortable seating. All four of us ordered numerous plates and shared. They all were top notch and flavorful. Will definitely stop by again on our next travels up through Oregon!

I can’t believe it wasn’t crowded, because this place was the bomb! The food was seasoned and cooked perfectly, the atmosphere was high end and elegantly simple. The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. The prices were 1/2 that of other similarly styled restaurants…we were all very impressed and will definitely be back.

Ordered takeout through the website to eat at treebeards. Email said 45 minutes until ready but I figured it would be less than that so arrived after 30. Everything was cold, had definitely been done for 15 minutes. Received no alert. Ordered pork egg rolls. Got some kind of tuna salad instead. Went back and was informed they do not sell pork egg rolls. We ordered through their website! Not a third party! Time for this place to close and to allow this 2nd street real estate to be taken over by a competently managed operation.

The rating never lies.

Just so you know the meat is great but anything else, is not good. You know if you gonna give some vegetables, plz at least give some fresh vegetables, they are not expensive you get it in winco! Service are nice but we don’t get napkin until we asked. Server are nice tho! Place are small just so you know.

Overall, drink options are great, meat is great, atmosphere is great.

After years in the Corvallis area, finally took the opportunity to dine at Magenta and they didn’t dissapoint. The rice crepe is a staple for them and it was good. The filling was fresh veggies with a delicious savory sauce inside. The crepe was a little dry and the sauce on top seemed a bit too much like mainstream ranch. The stake was a much better choice. Cooked really nicely, juicy, tender and a delicious sauce to boot. The bun appetizer was quite yummy as well. The orange mousse was good, but had a bit too strong an orange extract flavor as opposed to a fresh hint of orange I prefer. All in all a great meal with warm, friendly, attentive service at a reasonable price.

Won’t be back. The food was cold likely due to the too casual bartender/reluctant server who was too busy talking to his friend at the bar. The 8 customers present on Sunday morning weren’t a priority. I mean pay attention a little bit. Pretend to care a little bit. My fried were soggy and greasy.

Stopped in for a light dinner, turned out to be a great find. Very tasty food, great drinks, and really nice atmosphere. Our server Claire was attentive and friendly without overdoing anything. Will try it again if we get back to Corvallis.

Today was our first visit to Magenta. They offer extensive outdoor seating but we chose the coolness of inside. It’s a nice vibe indoors with wood paneling, mirrors, decorative drapes, and interesting art. The background music was a smooth piano jazz with elements of bossa nova.

The food was delicious. I had the Mi Ga and my boo had Pad Thai. The flavors were layered and delicate. We will be back!

The first time I came with two friends and we all ordered different vermicelli dishes. I expected them to be all somewhat similar, but instead they were each completely different and every one was delicious.

Recently I went again and ordered the pho, lemongrass beef & lamb meatballs, vegetarian rolls, and a cabbage salad (I skip peanuts on food because I think peanut flavor overwhelms other food flavors), and also the bao. Everything tasted excellent, veges were super fresh, and the presentation for even their simplest items is beautiful. Be patient after ordering your food; food this good isn’t sitting on a steam table.

Corvallis is a cool little town, and having this gem gives me another great reason to drive up there!

I have been to Magenta four or five times and every time I want to give it another chance, it disappoints. The absentee ownership really shows here: the owner lives out of state and believes that respect doesn’t need to be earned. They are mistaken, which is why their staff are unenthusiastic about virtually every part of the experience. Funny enough, the owner JUST posted this (see screenshot), which perfectly mirrors my experience as a customer and encouraged me to write this review. Corvallis has many good restaurants. Magenta has never been one of them.
