Tried this lovely restaurant for the first time today. Had a lovely experience, thanks to our amazing waitress, Cynthia.
We all got the sushi buffet, and were amazed at the wide selection of sushi available to choose from . The food was delicious and we will definitely be back! Next time I’ll definitely try one the cocktails from their cocktail menu, that has a wide range of options to choose from.

My wife and I went here to Miyako Sushi to try out the sushi buffet on her 40th Birthday and also as our date night out on the 12th November 2025.The service was great and I mentioned please do something for her 40th the the waiter… expecting little..our sushi came with Happy B and 40 in mayonnaise..the sushi was fantastic and better than the other competitor which is far more expensive.Some of the best Salmon hand rolls we have ever had,even the seaweed was still crispy!! When we were about to get our bill the waiter came out with a sparkling ice cream desert for my wife’s 40th!! Which was unplanned by me..all together a great night out, great sushi and great friendly service!! Would highly recommend Miyako Sushi to everyone!

We had such a great experience at Miyako! Even though it was super busy when we arrived, the manager, Jenna, was absolutely amazing. She kept checking on us while we waited and even gave us free drinks, which was such a thoughtful touch. Once we were seated, she made sure everything went smoothly and that we were taken care of. The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the noodles and chow faan were just as good. It was definitely worth the wait — we’ll be back for sure!

R219 for all you can eat sushi and dimsum is well worth it! So many to choose from and the food is quite good! Freshly made sushi and one of the best mochis we’ve had. Crab and cheese spring rolls were divine! Our waitress was so attentive and she delivered even if we had lots of orders (there were 6 of us)
The only thing I can say is that when it gets busy the taste of the dimsum is not consistent e.g. the soups. The first time we had the chicken noodle, it was amazing but when we ordered it again it was quite salty. Also, the food takes quite long to come as well so better to order lots one time. Please book a table before coming!

We had a great experience at Miyako! Our waitress, Andile, was absolutely amazing – so friendly and attentive. The service started off really quick, which we loved, though it did slow down a bit once we got closer to the buffet cut-off time, which wasn’t ideal. That said, the food was lovely – fresh, tasty, and definitely worth the money for the buffet. Overall, everything was nice, and we’d definitely recommend Miyako!

the buffet is a con. if u go there hoping for the sushi buffet, u may be very disappointed. there is a handful of options that u can choose from, all of which r very basic offerings. no roses. no sashimi. the items we received were well presented, till we tasted. 1 prawn was cut in 4 to make 4 separate prawn Epping rolls. in this way, they underdelivered on their sushi.

What a wonderful experience we had tonight at Miyako Sushi. We were worried that there was only 1 waiter at a table of 14 people but Selina was absolutely fantastic what a woman power she was. Service was absolutely amazing friendly fast and she made our experience for birthdays so special by giving us balloons and birthday decor without even asking. This is a place that will definitely see us again. She made a suggestion that instead of ordering per person to bring out platters for each table of 4 and it worked brilliantly we could also order anything after if we like to.
Food was absolutely delicious every single serving was fantastic quality. This is a MUST MUST MUST DO. Sushi is fresh and a mix of fried and normal and special sushi. All other wontons dumplings soups ex was excellent.

I was really disappointed considering the hype and distance I travelled to come to this restaurant. The sushi was good but the wait time for drinks and food was ridiculous. I was also a bit stunned about their “if there are any leftovers then you will be charged extra” policy. I understand that they are preventing people from taking food away and preventing wastage. However when I was full and had 2 pieces left over (not talking about multiple plates here) I had to force myself to finish those 2 pieces even though I was uncomfortable. The mochi balls were tiny compared to the tik Tok video circulating. The cocktails were nice. My friend tried to wantons, spring rolls and fried rice. She was very disappointed in the quality of the food. The sushi was nice.
