Overall the flavor of the food was great – the portions were a little disappointing at this price point. The sandwiches are “shorti” size (if you are familiar with Wawa), the buns are not toasted (which was a little weird), but everyone liked what we ordered. The chicken Parm was like one chicken tender, sliced in half with a little cheese and sauce, the meatball sandwich had two meatballs tucked under that cheese and the other chicken sambo at least had a generous helping of veggies on top to act as a filler. Fries weren’t heaping, but were sufficient. Loved the bruschetta and the drinks. Enjoyed the live music. While come back again!

The restaurant offers both handcrafted beer, cocktails and food. Very friendly atmosphere. Few menu items exceed expectations. Fried green tomato was a perfect balance of flavors with fresh cheese and handmade dressing.
Service is always friendly and attentive. Good for families and groups, a strongly recommended place.

This place is awesome in every way. Great food, great beer, and a phenomenal environment. But what really makes this place top notch is the service. My wife and I and our three young kids have been in multiple times and every single time, staff goes out of their way to make us and our kids feel beyond welcome, which is not the case at many other establishments. Our kids leave with as big of smiles on their faces as we do and that is all because VK staff ALWAYS goes above and beyond. Can’t say enough about this place. Looking forward to continuing to support VK!

The old Ship’s Inn is replaced. Veteran-owned brewery, taproom, and restaurant, so of course I’ll support a veteran. Still various rooms to sit in, but some brighter inside decor. Clean and goid service. Cheapest thing on the menu was a basket of fries for $8. I got the Crab Nachos for MP of $19. The appetizer was on the expensive side for me, but damn was it good!!! I wish there was more than 5! Also tried the VK Honey
Belgian Strong Golden Ale, which was very tasty for $8. My friend tried the VK Orange Shandy, the Pretzel Bites, and French Onion soup, which she seemed to enjoy. There was a peanut butter cheesecake calling my name, but I resisted this time.

Had the spinach and white pizza – and being from New York, it was very good. My husband had on the bone wings dry and loved them. My son had the kids cheeseburger and fries, and actually ate the entire meal even with having the pretzel bites appetizers. Pretzel bites tasted fresh. Cheese sauce tasted like melted white American, which wasn’t bad, but it was definitely heated up prior to the pretzels being ready. My husband had the VK original IPA, which he liked, but he definitely enjoyed my Dreadnought IPA better. Specials on a Sunday for beer and appetizers, which was a nice surprise. They also have a special on Sunday for when you purchase a pizza, you get a kids pizza free.

Great food and huge portions. The staff and other guests were very sweet and fun to be around. It’s a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere! They offer daily specials and their wings are delicious , flavorful and have a great crispy outside! We had mussels and calamari for the appetizers. Both were fantastic! The calamari had a light breading and was cooked perfectly. The sweet chili short braised rib special was amazing and full of flavor! The presentation of the food is just as good as it tastes. If you haven’t already stopped in, you should go and try it for yourself!

We’ve now had two incredible experiences here, and I can’t say enough good things.
Our first visit was a much-needed, impromptu date night, and the food was phenomenal. We had the crispy cauliflower, pizza, and salad. Memorable and thoughtfully done.
Our second visit was today for the Santa brunch, and it really showed how special this place is. We arrived without a reservation and learned they were fully booked! Instead of turning us away, they went out of their way to make room for us. That alone would have been impressive, but what really stood out was the generosity of the owners and the business itself. Events like this usually require tickets or extra charges. Here, there were none. Just genuine generosity and a real desire to create a great experience. The atmosphere was warm, everything felt seamless, and the Santa was wonderful with the kids.
You can tell this is a place run by people who truly care about their guests and their community. We’ll absolutely be back.

When you are dining in here, your experience is perfect or close to it. However, if you are getting takeout, the attention to detail is lacking. Every order except for one that we have gotten takeout on has had problems. We have never said anything because we don’t wanna make a big deal out of it because we figure they’re busy but This evening they completely forgot one item we ordered entirely. And that was with my husband bringing home the takeout it wasn’t like the fault could lie with a delivery service. So I hope whomever at the bar got to eat the pretzel nuggets and enjoyed them because they didn’t come home with our food order. And the dressing on my salad was not the dressing I requested. And that happened last time when I got fish and chips. I was pretty specific about not wanting their sauce because it’s too salty and I don’t care for it. I would rather put my own tartar sauce on it. And they’re fish and chips is among my favorite things on their menu and last time the fish was not as fresh as it should have been.
Take out service needs to match dine in service. I am giving food four stars because the dine in is so much better than the takeout.

A great surprise. Food was delicious, layout was surprising, and the staff were great.
At the site of the old “Ship Inn”, they redesigned the inside to make it much more enjoyable on the inside. New decorations and cool tables give this spot a new life.
Drinks were tasty, beer was great and the sandwiches had perfect rolls.
Highly recommend this spot.
