The menu focuses on the flavors of the South and the season, featuring a wide range of inventive craft cocktails, a curated selection of wine, and a great offering of local brews and bourbon. The innovative bartenders are true guides, eager to lead guests through their offerings to find the perfect sip. In my humble opinion, what truly sets CORK apart is the commitment to Community Spirits. The space is designed to foster connection, exemplified by the inviting community table and the generally “real fun vibe” that permeates the room, often enhanced by great music.
While Cork does not offer a food menu, they focus on beverages. They do offer gourmet charcuterie boxes and salty snacks, and they are welcoming to outside food and food deliveries, making it easy to turn your cocktail hour into a casual dinner.
In short, if you are looking for an amazing beverage program served in a stunning, historic setting with palpable community energy, CORK is the place to be. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for the liveliest and most thriving bar experience in North Carolina.
The cocktails and mocktails both are fantastic and if you want you can bring food that matches your drinking mood. Its a very quaint and relaxing with background music that does not interrupt your flow of conversation.
The drinks are top notch. The folks behind the bar have put all their experience and passion into this menu, and it shows.
We had:
⭐️The Fuzzy Monk (delightful )
⭐️The Fig and Ginger (fantastic! So much ginger, in a good way)
The Diplomático Manhattan (really really good, well executed)
The Chocolate Martini (excellent, perfect balance, perfectly executed)
The waitstaff were knowledgeable and shepherded us through the menu.
The atmosphere is awesome, it’s a large space but not too loud or noisy, even with a mostly full house. The building has amazing character that has been preserved.
Can’t wait to go back!
