I decided to visit the restaurant after trying their food through a delivery app, as the food was always so good that it made me want to come in person. I originally thought they closed at 10 PM, but they actually close at 8 PM. The lady at the cashier kindly let me know about the closing time and explained that they don’t accept tips, so customers clear their own tables. I thought that was a pretty cool system. The food is amazing, and I’m especially in love with their galbitang.

Probably one of the most affordable Korean Restaurants in Dallas.
They have monthly specials for a really great price on certain selected dishes!
Everything is self service so no tipping needed.

I was traveling with my elderly Korean in-laws looking for a nice place for a Korean meal. Finding a restaurant that meets my in-laws needs especially for Korean food has always been a huge challenge when it comes to eating out. We had a wonderful meal. Fast, friendly, efficient service and a very clean space. The restaurant is self- service but we had no problems with that at all. I was astonished when after the meal my father-in-law got up from the table and walked up to the counter staff and complemented the restaurant staff telling them that he felt like he was tasting food back in Korea and that he really enjoyed his meal. Among the many Korean restaurants we have visited this is the first time he ever complimented the restaurant. That was good enough for me as a stamp of approval for this place. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious meal that offers authentic Korean flavors.

Our family visited from Austin, and my Korean mother, who is extremely particular about Korean food, had this place recommended by her friends. We decided to give it a try, and it’s now our new favorite spot!

First, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Second, we loved the self-serve concept—it’s convenient and eliminates the need for tipping. You pick up your food when it’s ready and choose your own seating.

As for the food—WOW. We ordered the $60 combo meal, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and the portions were generous.

We highly recommend this place—10/10!”

One of our favorite places to eat! We love coming to Ddukbaegi for lunch and dinner. Our top things to get are the Tonkatsu, the bimbimbap and the special of the month! The low key ambiance, the quick service and turn around & the oden soup they give you really hits our cravings! We really love this place.

Best affordable Korean cuisine.
The friendly cashier puts you in a good mood from the start. I ordered pork bone soup and green onion pancakes. The pork bone soup is much more watered down than the original, but the head meat inside is delicious, and the seasoning with shrimp paste and dongchimi broth brings out its savory flavor. The green onion pancakes are generously made with the squid that accompanies every bite. It would have been better if they were a bit crispier, but they are delicious when dipped in the appropriately seasoned soy sauce.

After a first few bites of food, immediately decided that I will have to come back. With several korean restaurants in the area, this is a good one. You can tell that the food is good, as most of the people eating here were local Koreans. The soup was a bit spicy for an american palate, however very tasty. The fish was outstanding. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit here. The prices seem reasonable for the portion sizes.

If I could I would totally gate-keep this place!
But the food is just too good not to share!
The staff was very lovely, everyone greeted you as you entered and as you left. Regardless of race, they greet you in their language, “anhyonghasaeo” which gives it more of an authentic vibe. The menu is hung above the cashier in both Korean and English language. We came during lunch hour today and they were pretty busy, though we didn’t even have to wait long for the food.
I grabbed a tray of their gimbap (spicy w/ anchovies) laid out in the front, I loved that it came with pickled radish and a wasabi sauce. It was everything I was craving! For only $7 there were like 10 rolls in there!
As for the main entrees, I ordered the spicy pork ribs, which was so good and tender, falling off the bone!
I also ordered the seafood pancake, it wasn’t as crispy as other places I’ve tried but it was full of flavor and full of seafood! I’d take this seafood pancake over Maht gaek’s any day!
I also ordered the soontofu soup combo with stir fried pork. Each entree came with a side of purple rice and plenty of side dishes. Their kimchi was especially good. You can tell it’s made in house, it was very fresh and delicious.
Overall everything was so good, that I have no complaints about the food. I would honestly come back tomorrow
