Pearl was a lovely place for us to ring in the New Year at! The hardest part of this restaurant is deciding what to order because we wanted one of everything, but our server was very knowledgeable and had some impeccable recommendations. Every presentation was a visual treat.

There was complimentary truffle oil & sea salt popcorn. My husband loved Devil Wears Prada oyster and said he would get that one again. I enjoyed The Queen Mary the best. The mussels special was delicious, especially soaking up the buttery goodness with bread. All the elements of the ceviche paired well together. My husband wishes there was an IPA on the beer menu, but enjoyed the presentation of the Miller High Life to keep it cold. The highlight was the caviar, which was the best we’ve ever had, since it was our first time trying the delicacy. It tasted rich, fresh & buttery and had my husband wanting more. The chips were the thinnest flavorful chips that just melted in your mouth. The deviled eggs special was worth it. We finished off with a surprise champagne and caviar bump, purchased for us by a wonderful coworker.

The service was well timed. Some awesome souls checked on us beyond our server and each interaction was pleasant. As we were struggling to take a selfie, an employee offered to be the camera man. We left feeling pampered and can’t wait to go back.

Of note, it appeared one of the owners was working the host desk, and he seemed in his element. He was calm & collected in his movements and talking. Watching him interact with staff and patrons effortlessly, you could tell he loves this place. Well deserved to see the dream he has created for the Anchorage food community come to fruition.

The atmosphere at Pearl is beautiful — elegant yet welcoming. From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm and inviting. We were quickly seated, given water right away, and even served some truffle popcorn, which was such a nice touch.

Our server gave excellent recommendations, and we started with the deviled eggs and bacon-wrapped dates — both fantastic! The deviled eggs had a light, balanced flavor with just the right bit of texture from the tiny bacon pieces.

For our main course, we enjoyed the French onion soup and the filet. The French onion soup had some of the best cheese I’ve ever had on top — clearly high quality — and the filet, while smaller than expected, was absolutely delicious, especially with the sauce and cherries that added a great depth of flavor.

To finish, our server recommended trying both desserts together, and she was absolutely right. They complemented each other perfectly, were beautifully presented, and tasted amazing.

Overall, every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared with quality ingredients. The entire experience felt special from start to finish, and we’ll definitely be back again soon!

Love the bubbles with a bump!
Everything was absolutely delicious! ❤️
Hands-down, best escargot I’ve ever had – melts in your mouth.
The beet salad with the Humboldt fog cheese had us all fighting over every last bite! Oysters, huge shrimp cocktail, need I say more? Well…yes…
Atmosphere and presentation were awesome. It’s a bit loud and not kid friendly just how I like it.
The art deco atmosphere is gorgeous, yet comfortable without being pretentious. Great for some bubbly and a bite of heaven⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Where do I start? This place is incredible. I ordered a half dozen fresh oysters plus a few specialty oysters, and every bite was outstanding. The oysters on the half shell were as fresh as if they came straight from the farm.

The “Poke’mon” was unforgettable—served in a stone bowl that releases a cloud of nitrogen for a dramatic, otherworldly effect. The poke and oyster flavors together were amazing. The “Smokey & the Bandit” came under a smoke-filled glass dome, and the subtle smokiness paired perfectly with the oyster.

Between the freshness, the presentation, and the creativity, this has instantly become my new favorite spot.

I’m so excited about this restaurant!! It has an excellent menu and the staff is incredibly professional and pleasant. The atmosphere of the restaurant is impeccably thought out and decorated. It is small so definitely recommend reservations although it looked like they accommodate walk-ins the best they can.

We did a dozen original oysters and then ordered x2 Devil Wears Prada and one Tropic Thunder. They were both divine. We also got the chef special deviled eggs…best deviled eggs of my life

We also splurged and got both desserts on the menu. Neither one disappointed. The fully edible chocolate cigar was complete artistry.

Came here for my birthday dinner and the service was truly exceptional. Ryan (I believe he’s the manager) was so friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through the skin contact wines on their menu and the one I chose was absolutely delicious.

He even called the local wine shop they source from to make sure it was in stock so I could grab a bottle on the way home to Palmer, which made the night feel so thoughtful and special.

The food was amazing, the oysters were perfect, and the overall vibe was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back.

Expensive and worth it. The cevice was killer and the spicy oysters were scrumptious. The dishes showed skill and technique in their plating and construction. Imaginative use of ingredients made for interesting and surprising flavors.
The service was perfection. Knowledgeable and professional staff that were very personable.
Atmosphere was clean and modern.
I will go back eagerly looking to see the new inventive ceviche offering.

We had a wonderful date night at Pearl with Cary (?) as our server. His recommendations were spot on and we enjoyed every minute of our experience. Hats off to the chef for his mindful oyster concoctions and escargot. Both desserts were delicious and the “cigar” was creative. Anchorage needed this place!
