Repeat visitor here. Overall this is a fantastic place. Service is great, friendly, and fast. My photo doesn’t do this place justice; I was hungry (and it’s only a half order!) I’ve only had the nachos (I recommend the beef as it has taco seasoning vs the chicken) but I saw sandwiches and burgers come out that looked amazing. It’s definitely worth the drive if you’re not in their immediate area.

Saturday evening dinner. Party of 3. Seated quickly. Nice decor. Loud atmosphere. Friendly service. Waited longer than expected for our food. Pizza was outstanding. Fried fish was good.

We stopped in initially just to have a drink while waiting to meet up with some friends but we quickly found ourselves back later in the evening after being impressed with our short first visit and this place did not disappoint! The service was fantastic, prices were VERY reasonable and the best part – the owner was working right alongside his staff with a smile on his face the entire time. It’s very few and far between these days to find a place that hits every mark but this gem definitely does. They didn’t have take out menus so the owner took the inserts out of a dine in menu just so I could bring it home with me! I’ll definitely be back, I haven’t stopped thinking about the nachos since we left there and I didn’t even eat them I only saw them! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Shorty’s is a little out of the way from I94 but well worth the drive. Out side looks like a plain building but inside is great place. The food is great! The dill pickle pizza with fresh dill is awesome! They make their own dough. Check out the picture. I tried the Gouda Mac and cheese and it was amazing. I also like that they have Alaskan amber on tap. Matt and his staff makes you feel right at home. Order their Smokey wings extra crispy and you will not be disappointed. The smokiness comes through great. Worth the drive off the freeway
