Not sure why this place is ranked below a 4.6. I went in for lunch with my partner and was seated pretty quickly at 1230pm on a Sunday. I ordered the ribeye and to start the buffalo chicken dip. The food was so hot and fresh and absolutely delicious. The service was great and the portions were very generous. Highly recommend this venue. Prices are moderate. The atmosphere is bustling but not to a point where it’s inaudible to hear your party. The decor is modern and clean.

Burton’s was a real disappointment. We were a party of six with a Sunday 4PM reservation for my great aunt’s 96th birthday. The food was a bit overpriced, and we all enjoyed Freddy’s really good service. But there were many problems with the overall service. For instance, we were <5 minutes early for our reservation, but something was wrong at the hostess station. 3 workers were face down in the computer screen, and when I stepped up to let them know we had arrived, one woman said they were having problems and they couldn’t talk now. So I gave them our name, and the same woman acknowledged it and said, oh you’ve got a 96th birthday. So they knew who we were. But we stood there waiting for about 15 minutes. Not the worst wait ever, but the restaurant was nearly empty, we had a 96 year old, and then they seated 2 walk-in tables before they sat us. Similar stupid screw-ups happened the entire time. The crew did not work together but seemed to be at odds. I received an incorrect salad, and when I mentioned it, the food runner said “no one here knows how to use seat numbers when ordering”. Long waits between courses. So nothing horrible, but our expectations were not nearly met. The one blessing was Freddy. He worked his butt off trying to make our experience the best, but there was only so much he could do. We tipped well, on our roughly $700 tab and probably won’t return. Such a shame as Burton’s has every element to make a great experience and fell short.

Excellent refined menu of freshly prepared food. Consistently high quality. True to its word – all prepared in house. Salads are very generous in size, always fresh, healthy and interesting. Reservation recommended – often quite busy. Be patient with your server – often busy because its reputation continues to grow. Management very responsive and supportive to any shortcomings. Just ask.

Experience 10/10. The Caesar salad was so good. The spiced pear martini was also . But the best part of all?? Our bartender lady with the curly black hair in a bun was the best bartender I’ve ever encountered. The sweetest lady. Made my whole day better. Also, get the key lime pie.

We just held my daughter’s baby shower at a “private” dining area at Burtons Grill & Bar at Market St in Lynnfield and were absolutely thrilled. The service team, headed up by Cheryl, was outstanding. Cheryl was so helpful, calm, and organized helping us arrange the room and set up the head table for the event. We had pre-selected a short-list of menu choices for our lunch. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, and the bar was quick. Everyone had a great time. The room was spacious enough that our 45 guests could mingle and talk easily and everyone had a place to sit and eat. We could not have been happier with the venue, the staff, or the food.

Attended a wonderful Christmas party at Burton’s. The service was fantastic, and the food was good. My favorites were the mouth-watering stuffed zucchini appetizer and the larger-than-life key-lime pie. One of the best key-lime pies I have ever had. Overall, a pleasant experience.

I gave Burtons at Lynnfield Marketplace 4 stars. The service was very good. Our waitress was very nice, polite, and attentive. The atmosphere was nice and conducive to sitting and chatting. The bread and food were delicious! The 4 stars come from the dessert. Such a let down. One party member is gluten-free and she could not eat her red velvet cake. She had one small bite and that was more than enough. The blueberry cheesecake was good until you get to the bottom….then not so much. The saving grace was the chocolate cake. Other than the dessert; I would come back again and recommend to my family and friends.

What an overall wonderful experience! With someone with celiacs- the food allergy knowledge was clear, zero indication or feeling there might be even cross contamination, AND all dessert options were available gluten free!
In addition to how wonderful the food and variety of options were- our server Dario was top notch! He himself was incredibly knowledgeable, conversational, attentive, and kind. If the food wasn’t enough to come back for, we would have been coming back anyway for the level of attentiveness, honest input, and overall great experience!
We will definitely be back!

Our entire family was impressed with their meals. I selected this restaurant because it was highly recommended by the gluten free community. When we arrived, we were asked if we needed a gluten free menu. I had some questions about the ingredients in a few different dishes. Our waitress was very patient with my questions, and she immediately went to the kitchen to get answers. This made me feel really safe about eating here. I had the fried haddock, minus the bun, and fries on the side. SO good! Tasty breading on the fish. The fries were extra crispy which was great. And the tartar sauce was excellent as well. My family has no food restrictions, and they loved their meals too. All the guys in the group got the Maxx burger and they raved about it.
