BEWARE – Tower Burger McAllen
We placed our order at 8:00 PM and waited over an hour, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. The employees never told us there was an issue until we finally asked what was taking so long. Only then were we told they kept sending food back and had to change the oil.
When we called to complain after getting home, they asked us to drive the food back the same night—we live 30 minutes away and they were closing in 10 minutes. Completely unrealistic.
The manager then said he called the owner and we could get a refund, but that it would be taken out of the employees’ wages. That alone is a huge red flag.
To make things worse, the food was unacceptable:
• Burgers and fries were extremely burned
• Wings were pink and raw inside
• Fries tasted like bottom-tier grocery store quality
This was a terrible experience from start to finish. Poor communication, unsafe food, and irresponsible management practices. We will not be returning.

The first time here ordered the chili fries was not a fan of the chili flavor kids also did not like it. Tried the garlic parmesan wings they were drenched in sauce, so if you like wings in sauce, this is it. Would get wings again and try other flavors. The smash hamburger was okay tasted the bread more than the meat, even with a double patty. The portion of onion slices on the side was generous and definitely enough to share. If you don’t have a big appetite, you can definitely share a combo.

we LOVEEEEE this place. They do take some time to bring out the food but it is freshly made. The price is amazing to be fresh, huge burgers. The workers are extremely friendly. As someone who isn’t a fan of burgers, this place made me fall in love with them.

I stopped by Tower Burger around 2 o’clock, and even though it was busy, the experience was amazing. The burger was incredible with fresh, crispy vegetables, perfectly seasoned meat, and soft, freshly baked buns. The fries were hot, crispy, and full of flavor.
The two waitresses working the front did an excellent job keeping everything running smoothly. They checked in often, reassured everyone that food was on the way, and stayed calm and professional the whole time. Over time, Tower Burger has only gotten better in both food quality and service. It’s easily one of the best burger spots around.

This is a high class establishment, great food made hot and prepared with fresh ingredients. The setting is modern rustic and the restaurant is sparkling clean with a polite and attentive staff. I’ve been over half a dozen times and am still enjoying my way through the menu! Orders are ready fast and the taste is spectacular.

I ordered the Holy Guacamole burger and it was served with brown avocado, yuck. I scraped off the avocado but it ruined the taste of my burger. The server brought me a side of fresh avocado and claimed there was a new employee in the kitchen. New or not you should never serve brown avocado. I did enjoy the fries they were crispy and flavorful.

absolutely trash. the double smashburger had absolutely no flavor whatsoever and the “fresh cut fries” was nothing but a pile of all the broken pieces and scrapings from the bottom of the bin. I came here because of the reviews, but i guess consistency isn’t their thing. took 2 bites, paid for my meal and left. id recommended going anywhere but here. do better.

this is my second time here, i loved the fried pickles and their onion rings are so different md delicious, they are thinly sliced and it made them really sweet. definitely try their fungus amungus burger! and on WEDNESDAY they have Wednesday Wing special and the wings are only 50 cents each! i recommend the Seoul Sauce and Garic Parm flavor! their wings are decently size as well!

Tower Burger has gone through some changes in how they serve customers. It used to be more of a walk-up counter style, but now it has a sit-down feel. They bring you menus and your food, so it creates a nice hybrid experience that mixes casual and dine-in service.
The burgers are good and always satisfying. It may not be the most over-the-top burger place in town, but they put effort into what they do, and the quality shows. The atmosphere makes it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal, and it feels like they might be aiming for something similar to a Red Robin, but with their own local personality.
What really makes Tower Burger stand out is that it’s local, not a chain. That makes it worth supporting, and overall the experience is enjoyable enough that I’m happy to give them five stars.

It’s definitely a vibe! My partner and I went for a lunch date and have been meaning to give this place a try. I’m so happy to say it was just as wonderful as I had hoped! Portions were MORE than enough, and the whole design of the restaurant was spacious, but not too empty! Music was good, food tasted homemade and delicious, decorations were fitting, and the service was excellent!
