Six Tables on the Road
We ran into Chef Alfonso while grocery shopping a couple days ago. As chefs ourselves, we struck up a conversation, and discovered that he has his own restaurant.
We had to give it a try! When we walked in, he and his staff were gracious, and so warm & welcoming. He went out of his way to make chicken fingers for our youngest son, and chicken pasta for our older son. My husband had spicy seafood pasta that was chock full of seafood. I had the beef stroganoff, which was creamy and delicious and had a tropical twist. I can’t recommend his restaurant enough! If you’re in Anguilla, definitely check him out!

The food was delicious! Creole flavors that were expertly presented. And a savory pumpkin soup we won’t soon forget.

I love Alfonso so much. First of all, his food is fantastic. I get his pork chop with his delicious mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, and vegetables; and his banana pancakes may be the best pancakes I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Second, he is an absolute gem of a human being–and so is his sous chef, Rose. He even (as a complete surprise to us) built a wheelchair ramp to make it easier for me to bring my mom (who suffered from FTD) to dinner. Just astonishingly kind.

This is Alfonso at the Caribbean Restaurant. His cooking is superb. The building needs love but it all went into the food. You will be glad you came here. They are on Spring Path Road just south of Rendezvous Road.

Alfonso’s restaurant was an unexpected surprise. We discovered it with the help of Google reviews on our way back to Sandy Hill. It was a wonderful experience. Alfonso and our server were welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Mahi Mahi in a creole sauce with mashed potatoes and plantains. Everything was cooked to perfection. This was by far one of my favorite meals on out trip.
