Niccoli’s Italian Grocery-Deli is an absolute gem. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into a classic Italian market you’d find tucked away in Sicilia or Florence. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit, but the experience goes far beyond that.
I had the pleasure of chatting with Caitlin, Byron, and Tara, and they are truly a dream team. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely proud of what they do, they represent this place beautifully and make you feel welcome the moment you walk in.
I ordered Joe’s Original Italian Sub and wow. Absolutely incredible. The bread is baked fresh daily, the meats are sliced on the spot if you ask, and every bite tastes like it was made with care and intention. This is the kind of sandwich that reminds you how good simple food can be when it’s done right.
If you’re building a charcuterie board, stop searching now. Niccoli’s has everything you need. An incredible selection of meats and cheeses that will take your board to the next level. They also carry pasta imported from Italy at very reasonable prices, which is dangerous in the best way because you’ll want to grab more than one.
And whatever you do, don’t leave without cannolis. Trust me.
This place is authentic, welcoming, and packed with quality from corner to corner. Niccoli’s Italian Grocery-Deli has earned every bit of five stars, and I’ll absolutely be back.

This place is a must-go if you love traditional, generous, and delicious food. Everything is made with care and attention to detail, even the salad that comes with the pasta is generous and tasty. The staff is so kind and wholesome, it makes the experience even more special. We loved every bite.

I love Niccoli’s! I’ve been coming to get sandwiches here since we moved to N. Central 8 years ago. I was concerned when the original family sold it, but the new owners have made some really nice changes and the food is really good. My only complaint is that the sandwiches are inconsistent. We got two sandwiches last weekend and they were loaded with ingredients and delicious. Today, we got the same sandwiches and there is hardly anything on them and the bread is overbaked. Still good, but not the normal excellent quality that we’re used to. If they can shore up the inconsistencies, they are 5 star for sure!

I stopped at Niccoli’s Italian Grocery-Deli, located in Central Phoenix on 16th Street just north of Bethany Home. This old-style Italian grocery and deli has been serving the Valley since 1950. They offer imported Italian canned and dry goods, fresh pastas, homemade sausages, and deli sandwiches. They also have delicious, in-house-made biscotti, but I came to try a slice of their NY-style thin crust pizza. I chose Italian sausage with peppers & onions. It had a nice and crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and a nice, firm undercarriage, just the way I like it. So if you are in the neighborhood, stop and give them a try; you will be pleasantly surprised.

Stopped for here lunch. Fabulous. My buddies and I were very happy with the quality of food. The meatball sub was fantastic. The lasagna was also wonderful. We all took home some of the handmade desserts. Can’t wait to try them. What a gem of a place. A must try. Definitely be back

This is a great little Italian grocer. It’s small, cozy, and has a solid mix of Italian staples — pasta, sauces, cheeses, sausage, all the good stuff. My personal favorite thing to pick up here is the guanciale (pork cheek). It’s super flavorful, has just the right amount of fat, and it’s perfect for kicking off a lot of classic Italian dishes.
And of course, the cheese selection doesn’t disappoint — and let’s be honest, cheese is basically required for half of Italian cooking anyway.
Grab a sandwich, a pizza, or even just a slice, and take a minute to look around. The selection isn’t huge, but it’s exactly right if you’re going for that authentic Italian feel.
Definitely worth stopping by.

Your go to for authentic Italian food – Subs, pizzas, pastas, and desserts! A small grocery store and deli counter is the perfect spot to get lunch for a picnic or bring back home. Highly recommend their Joe’s Italian Sub (Italian style), Philly cheesesteak, and any of their cannolis!
It is so fresh and worth the wait. The service is great too! Mickey was patient and so helpful when I went.

This is a fantastic old school Italian deli. While they might not have everything you’d like due to smaller size shop, they have the old school I-talian good stuffs like Calabrian peppers, pastries, and of course, their Italian sub on a fresh Italian roll. I get mine the way it comes, no substitutions needed.
Although I wish they had a top shelf version with prosciutto, spicy cappi, and spicy provolone instead of the norms like mortadella and hard salami, The Reggie is Right!
Last time I ordered 2 for some leftovers. As expected, they are never busy or quick. They have a few tables, and I always order to go.

Just stumbled upon this amazing spot sadly, even though I have been living in Phoenix for three years! Absolutely delicious and adorable. So kind and personable. Being from New Jersey, one thing I always miss and look for is good Italian food, specifically a good eggplant parm and pizza, and this spot really hits the nail, and gives me a taste of home, especially with the atmosphere and people there. 100% recommend. Additionally, the prior comment on pricing is completely incorrect, these are normal prices for fresh made delicious items, and imported pasta and sauces in the grocery section. You get what you pay for, which is delicious Italian food.

The chicken parm sandwich with eggplant added was delicious, the Italian sub was good (exactly what you’d expect for an Italian sub), and the pistachio cannolis BLEW ME AWAY. I felt like I was gonna levitate on that last bite. Will definitely be back. Don’t skip this place
