Lots of variety and build your own bowl gives many different combinations which is good.
Taste is a OK – it is very salty for some bowl like Short Lib Philly, and sides like bacon bits.
Family of 4 order was $65 which is kind of pricey for just Mac ‘n’ Cheese…
This is not their fault, but the store does not have a restroom & the restroom is a public restroom located far away from the restaurant & very filthy…

My wife and I stopped by I Heart Mac and Cheese in Tacoma recently, and honestly, it was one of those places that’s… fine. Not bad, not great—just middle of the road. The restaurant itself was really clean, which I appreciated, and the staff seemed friendly enough. Prices were decent too, so no complaints there. One downside though—no restroom. That’s something you don’t think about until you need it, but it definitely stood out.
I ordered the Cuban sandwich, hoping for something bold and flavorful, but it was just okay. Nothing really wrong with it, but also nothing that made me want to take a second bite and say, “wow.” The tots on the side tasted exactly like the frozen ones you can buy at the grocery store—crispy, sure, but nothing memorable.
My wife went with the lobster mac, which sounded like a fun splurge. She said it was edible but the lobster tasted a little “off,” almost like it had been sitting around too long or wasn’t super fresh. She didn’t hate it, but she didn’t finish it either, which kind of says it all.
To be fair, the place is clean, the prices are fair, and if you’re just craving a quick bite and don’t want to spend too much, it’ll do the job. But it’s not the kind of meal you think about later or tell your friends about. Overall, we left full, but not impressed.

K is the best! she is very personable and make us want to come back here. Thank you for the great service on top of delicious food! We ordered lobster Mac, BBQ chicken flat bread, and rice crispy. Everything is delicious. Sitting is cozy and interior is artistic. People dining are also friendly, they let us pet their dog and laugh with us. I feel like a community and it made our visit extra special.

The food here was awesome!! We rented the surrey to pedal around and worked up a little appetite. We had our 6 year old with us, and saw “Mac and Cheese” and our dinner destination was decided haha
We ordered the chicken parm bowl, kids mac and added on short ribs, BBQ Chicken flatbread, and mac and cheese bites. Way too much food for the three of us, but perfect for lunches and meals later.
Definitely recommend this place. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and large portions.

I ordered take out from the restaurant and what showed up was quite different from what I expected. When I got breaded chicken I expected it to be on top to remain crispy, however is was mixed into the mac and cheese making it soggy. But even more of a suprise was it being chicken paste in the nuggets not real shredding chicken so the meat was bland and not edible. Besides that the pesto was not just a drissle on top but mixed into the entire bowl as well, which is odd. Overall the texture and options are good but the execution and flavor is lacking.

I’m going to be blunt— the lobster macaroni was absolutely terrible. I couldn’t bear to eat more than a quarter of my $30 bowl, and I wish I were exaggerating. The taste reminded me of a cheap knockoff of Panera.. but still somehow worse than hospital food.
Total bill was around $70 for two, we both couldn’t stand to eat one portion worth. Save your money and eat elsewhere or make mac and cheese at home, odds are it will taste worlds better.

Visiting from another country and this was the very first stop my family took me to and wow, I was blown away! For a fast casual restaurant, this is hands-down the BEST mac and cheese I’ve ever had in my life. Everything is made fresh, and they literally build your bowl right in front of you.
I created my own custom bowl and my sister went for the lobster mac… let me tell you, the flavors were dancing on my tongue. So creamy, so rich, absolutely unforgettable. The lobster mac is something special!
The staff were so kind and welcoming, it made the whole experience even better. I couldn’t resist grabbing some cookies and a dessert bar afterward (both amazing), and the mac bites? To. Die. For. Crispy, cheesy heaven.
10/10 experience. I’ll be dreaming about this place until I come back again!

I’ve been looking for a go to Mac and cheese place and this is IT. First of all friendly and beautiful staff. When you walk in you are greeted as if you’re a celebrity, nice smiles and great energy. The blonde gals in the front were so kind to walk me through it. They have build your own Mac and cheese bowls or signature items on their menu. I got the lobster Mac and cheese and it’s something you can’t miss I swear to God you are missing out if you don’t get it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 100000000/10. Don’t forget about their freshly baked cookies!
