Use the big door facing the parking lot!! LOL
Food is delicious, mom n pop feel!
Taco Tues 3 taco deal, but Thursday has 3 steak taco deal!
Trying for first time order reg tacos, but if you got a big appetite 2 Big taco’s with chips n dip might be all that you need!
Tried the chicken, chorizo and steak this visit.
Chicken is great w/o adding salsa, but for me if you want spicy add the light green, more flavor than spicy add the orange red one.
They are not afraid to fill out your tortillas to make your tacos! The BIG steak was so good, on a homemade tortilla, first solo bite was delicious. I then added green on the next bite and the orange red colored one on the next bite, last few bites were with salsa and guacamole!!! New favorite Taco!!!
Did try anything else yet but looking forward to my next visit!!

The tacos here are delicious!! The shrimp (Gobernador) was my favorite but their asada was a close 2nd because it was made with arrachera. I wish their salsas were a little more spicy but that’s just a personal preference. I will definitely be coming back.

I absolutely loved the taco campechanos (steak and chorizo mix) as well as the quesabirria taco. They were all seasoned perfectly and didn’t need anything else. Though I did try the salsa verde and it was perfect. It didn’t overpower the rich flavor of the tacos. I also tried the pastor empanadas but I didn’t love them. They were big and looked perfect from the inside but just needed a little more seasoning.
The hostess and servers were all extremely nice. The food was very good. The prices were spot on and they told us about their amazingly priced taco deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I will definitely be going back.

It’s alright…
I had a variety of tacos here. Starting with their steak taco, it was good but not spectacular. The meat was tender and seasoned well like other reviews mention but I personally like my steak tacos to have some char to them. The meat didn’t have that at all, the texture almost felt like it was boiled.
The Al pastor was tasty and had pieces of pineapple, but again, I like a bit of char which it didn’t have.
The chorizo taco was also decent. Good amount of flavor but unbelievably greasy.
Lastly I ordered a hard shell taco with potato. This was probably my favorite one of the four because of its texture. The potato was soft but otherwise pretty bland.
The portion sizes for the tacos were fairly large but the price is also high. Almost $5 a taco. Definitely the most expensive around.

The Sunday before Halloween I was at a scary movie event on River Street. Mich Big Taco had a food truck out there. He told us about their grand opening event this coming up wednesday before Halloween. I forgot all about it. Today, in an attempt to take the bus up to Batavia to work on refinishing the dresser I have been working on, I left too late to connect with a bus heading directly out to Batavia. Knowing I had a good hour before I can connect with a bus heading to Batavia, I begin to give some thoughts to eating. Knowing a lot of Batavia restaurants are closed on mondays, I begin to think about where to eat, what to eat, how to eat, when to eat. I am in between a bus going directly to Batavia, and a bus going to the garage. Do I want to eat in Aurora? It is this thought that makes me remember that taco place on Broadway that just had their grand opening. They had a taco truck on River Street for the scary movie event. Mich Big Taco is their name. They are two doors South of New York on the East side of Broadway. They have two entrances. The Broadway front door entrance, and the back door entrance at the big parking lot behind the businesses that are on Broadway. This is a small restaurant. It is cheerful inside with brightly colored decorations and some nostalgic signage of Mexican fare with prices of the past. They have a table of foods set up in the store front to honor the foods enjoyed by loved ones who have passed on. Small four tops line the wall to my left. A small alcove nearer to the kitchen has a couple of tables that can seat eight each. One can place their order with a server at the back of the restaurant or take a table and wait to be served. I think I am not going to have enough time to enjoy my meal in house. I decide to order my meal to go. There is no one in the restaurant when I enter. At the rear of the restaurant, where one can place a order, I can hear kitchen noises coming from beyond the swinging doors behind the counter. I was soon greeted by a cheery, smiley server. What I learn is, Mich Big Taco opened in the summer. Their grand opening was last wednesday. Not long after I arrive another customer enters. She is picking up a carry out order for her sister. So lucky her sister is to have her as her sibling. I order chicken fajitas. The server was very precise all the way While taking my order, packaging my order, and serving me. I noticed she exhibited this same level of precision with the other clientele. While waiting for my order to be prepared, the server brings over a bowl of chips with a small dish of salsa. The salsa had a smokey flavor. I slurped it all down with the chips. The nice thing about the salsa, my mouth was not on raging fire after 5 chips with salsa. The music was not over loud or over bearing. It was soothing for early afternoon. Another man came in to place a carry out order just after my food was packaged up and delivered to me. So they are getting business. The man wasn’t sure about which salsa. The red or the green. Gringo. He was probably a construction worker from the new high rise going up down the street. I show him the packaged salsa verde packed up with my order. I don’t remember which salsa he chose. The salsa verde given to me was creamy. I have much more time than I expected when I placed my order. I decided to eat some of my meal in house. I enjoyed the refried beans with the drizzle of cheese on top. The refried rice had peas and carrots in it. I don’t usually see that. Still enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed two tortillas with my fajita before I had to pack up and leave. I don’t think the chips were made in house. Still, I would not turn them away. Eight hours later, I can truthfully say, the food at Mich Big Taco was not only delicious and satisfying, I experienced no ill effect after dining there. I will be back. And the service! It was all about my satisfaction. This place aims to please. Too cute. Not overly much. Just enough.

We had dinner here on Tuesday and everything was excellent. We really enjoyed the quesabirria (not pictured) as well as all the tacos. The hard shell potato taco was delightful – tasted like mashed potatoes with taco toppings! The big taco with steak and chorizo was a favorite as well. Service was excellent – very attentive – and we look forward to returning soon!

I’ve been in Aurora for 8 years, these are the best tacos I’ve had in all that time! Had the Chicken, Steak, Al Pastore and all were excellent. Went with my daughter and she is already asking to go back. Nobody is gonna have to twist my are.

Tacos were delicious & good sized portions! We tried the asada (very tender & they use arrachera), al pastor (a lot of flavor and the best I’ve had in the area), quesabirria (tasty as well). Agua de jamaica was really good. Definitely worth checking out!
