We swung by this Dairy Queen while cruising down the legendary Route 66 to take a quick breather. The location is super convenient—right off the highway, so you really can’t miss it. Keep in mind this is a “Treat” location, so it’s the go-to spot for sweets rather than a full meal. We grabbed a classic Blizzard, and it was spot on: thick, cold, and exactly what we needed.
The staff was incredibly friendly and kept the line moving fast, which I really appreciated. The place is well-maintained and clean, though the building has a bit of an “old-school” vibe that actually adds to the Route 66 charm. It’s a solid roadside stop to grab a treat and recharge before hitting the road again.

I’ve seen employees not wearing gloves when making banana splits. I’ve seen them touching the money. Grabbing the handle to the ice cream machine and then touching the bananas. It’s gross. I didn’t see anyone wash their hands or put on gloves.

We had great service! We were traveling through town and we’re really happy we chose to stop at this DQ. The staff was friendly, professional and inside very clean and modern the owners really know the business. We ordered oreo blizzard and they also serve banana split.
