This place is kinda hidden but is worth the drive, I had the Meatloaf with Mashed potatoes, everything was hot and seasoned nicely, the service was prompt and pleasant, the server had a smile even thou it was towards the end of her shift. I highly recommend making the drive you will not be disappointed

Food came out cold. Me and my friend went and wait 40 minutes for the food to come out very cold. People came in after us got there food before we did. First got there we had to go up to front to get our own menu after waiting 10 minutes for lady to bring one. Food wasn’t good cause we refused to eat it for being ice cold and hard country fried steak. Wasn’t that clean either in there and in the bathroom who put a guess book on the toilet we wont be back

Im surprised how many good reviews this place has. Came here for breakfast and was very disappointed. The food is very mid and the coffee was terrible, they probably cleaned the drip machine in a hot minute and thats why it tastes so bad. Everything was pretty cheap and that reflects in the food as well. And dont get me started on the atmosphere do not go here

Went here for lunch during my break.
I ordered a breakfast sandwich, 2 pancakes, a bagel with cream cheese and a grilled cheese with chips. It cost $17.
Overall, it tasted good and looked just as good. The atmosphere was nice and didn’t take too long.
I would definitely visit again.

They gave me peanut butter for my pancakes!! My son and I work 3rd shift and we stopped in a little before 10. Our Waitress Rebecca quickly brought menus and our drink orders. We both got the Hungry Man special and now I can’t decide on what to brag about first… the food,the price, portions or the service. 5 stars all around. I loved the southern hospitality and decor. I will definitely be returning to try the lunch menu.
P.s When you place your order go ahead and get a box for the leftovers.

8/22/2021 was our first venture to Dixie Diner, and I’m gobsmacked! We arrived around 845am. The staff was very sweet and fast checking in on every customer. I had the white gravy and biscuits- just like my Mother made from scratch. I was so full, I had to take blueberry pancakes home. Phenomenal! Husband ordered Country fried steak and eggs w/hashbrowns, cheese grits and a biscuit. Everything came out hot and as ordered. It’s right outside Gastonia city limits. You must try breakfast! Coffee was also very tasty!

The food was decent and flavorful. The service was less than friendly and even said “I hate coming here.” But she was attentive and took care of our needs. The atmosphere was very dated with no outside view, including the glass door being covered in film. The restaurant was clean but lacked ventilation and air conditioning. The temperature on my phone registered 81 at our table and when we exited my party discussed how we smell of grease and feel the need to shower. The owners/operators seem to pride themselves on their political views, making some feel unwelcome.
