Hands down best samosa in the burbs. Good halwa puri and decent mithai. Place is pretty run down and needs some updates for family dining.

As a regular customer, I can honestly say this place delivers true authentic flavor every single time. Their chicken pizza is absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned with that desi touch you won’t find anywhere else. And the halwa puri? Pure nostalgia. It tastes just like back home, fresh, flavorful, and done right. Highly recommended for anyone craving real desi food in Villa Park!

I recently treated myself to the Halwa Puri, and honestly… it felt like my taste buds went on a mini vacation they still haven’t returned from! ✨

I love visiting the restaurant in person, but let’s be real, it’s almost always packed. At this point, the crowd inside could easily win an award for “Most Dedicated Food Lovers Under One Roof.”

So, like many of my survival-based life choices, I usually stick to Uber delivery. And even through delivery, the food arrives fresh, warm, and smelling so good that I start questioning all my life decisions before opening the box.

Now let’s talk about the star: the Halwa Puri.
The puris were perfectly puffed and crispy — the kind that makes you feel like the chef whispered a prayer of love before frying them.

The halwa? Sweet, comforting, and basically a warm hug for the soul. And then the chana and achar came along like the perfect supporting cast, making every bite feel like a full-on Bollywood celebration in my mouth. ️

What amazes me is how consistent the taste is, even on busy days. You can practically hear the kitchen saying, “Overcrowded? No problem. Let’s make this food so good they forget the wait!” ‍ ✨

If you’re someone who enjoys traditional breakfast or simply wants a meal that can turn a bad day into a good one, do yourself a favor and try their Halwa Puri. It’s comfort, joy, and delicious chaos all in one plate.

I ordered for delivery from this place. Got some barfi, gulab gamun & habshi halwa. All very good. They come in these nice green mithai boxes. Also tried the beef & veggie samosa. Both also excellent. The one complain I have is that they only give you one small beef samosa in an order. For $4.49 they should give at least 2. The potato samosa was large. The mint chutney with samosa was also very good. Will order from here again for sure. Will post another review after I try their halwa puri.

Service here is great every time my family and I go! The halwa puri has an authentic desi taste and is well flavored, as well as the paya. The food is served fresh and hot, making it very enjoyable.Mango lassi and chai are also made delicious. Service is good and they give the food at a reasonable time after ordering.

Decent halwa, chole and puri, not aloo. Aloo samosa has a looooot of onion, qeema samosa has a lot of onion too, both samosas are sweet, namak paray are great, fresh, chai is okay, mix plate is good.

Hands down the best Halwa Puri I’ve had in a long time. The puris were light and crispy, and the halwa was absolutely awesome. Rehman Sweets is now my go-to spot for breakfast. Highly recommended!

This was my first visit to this place. Simply put this place is ok to subpar range. Went there on Sunday at 10:30 AM to try their traditional Halwa Puri breakfast. They are located in a strip mall with plenty of parking.

Restaurant is small with a fast food style feel to it. We ordered two Halwa Puri with two Chai. Had to wait a few minutes to find a table. After getting seated I felt claustrophobic with the extremely tight seating arrangement. Waited about 45 minutes for the order. Bit on the pricey side i.e. $13 for Hawla Puri that normally sells for $8 at other places. Once our order number was called I picked up the food with around 10 people gathered around the front desk. Felt like a mini chaos to pickup the food.

Food itself was ok. I would rate just the food 3 out of 5, compared to the overall experience of 2 out of 5. Halwa Puri was served like a platter with various items in the plate. Presentation was good. Potato salan was really good, perfect balance of spice and flavor, Chana salan (chickpeas) were bit undercooked but the flavor was ok, Halwa was very watery and diluted and lacked the texture but the flavor was decent. This was served with yogurt and pickles and three Puris. Generally speaking at other places Puris are very oily but theirs was just right.

They were out of other breakfast items in the morning such as Unda (Egg) Pratha (Bread). They had a small section of traditional sweets in the display case. My goal was to try them but I got overwhelmed by the rush and mini chaos in there and opted to leave after finishing the breakfast.

Overall this place has a potential to be an excellent South Asian breakfast restaurant but at the moment they lack the customer service, organization and lack of staffing. I could tell the staff felt overwhelmed and stressed there. If you are not looking to drive to Devon Ave for good Halwa Puri and are ok with rush and extended wait time you can try this place. Based on my experience I will try other places first before going back there.

this hit the spot! It’s been a while since I’ve had authentic halwa puri breakfast (I live out of state). It definitely brought back the nostalgic feeling of breakfast in Karach, and I’m still not over it.

Atmosphere could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness, otherwise 10/10 for food!
