(5 star for food 4 star for service)To begin the food that we got was fantastic kudos to the chef for making everything taste really great and fresh; you can totally tell he cares about his food. The only downside I would say that the wait was a bit longer than expected and the service was not too great, however it was nothing to phone home about considering the food. I guess if I could have only one gripe it would be that there was one lady (not our server) going around checking on all the tables to see if they needed anything she even gave a few guests free soup for the wait being long, but she never approached ours. . . it seemed like we were ghosts. I would’ve appreciated some sort of acknowledgement or something, but I did not let it ruin the night. Overall I would definitely go back and I do believe everyone should eat at this restaurant it is something you won’t regret.

Small dining with big flavor and big portions. Fantastic burgers! Quiet, clean, and good service.

The food is made to order and has been delicious everytime I’ve been there. Since it is made to order there is a bit of a wait, but it is well worth it. All the dishes are over the top and portion size is very generous. If you feeling adventurous, ask the chef for his latest off the menu creation (he’s always working on something new).

The place is clean and the servers are attentive. I had a grilled chicken panini, but it was to greasy to eat. The french fries were seasoned and tasted great. My honey’s grilled chicken with rice and vegetables was presented beautifully, and tasted good.

My group of 13 went for dinner tonight. But when we arrived we were given a small menu with only a few items to choose from. Not only that the prices were inflated 2 and 3 dollars more than were posted on their regular menu. We were told it would take longer if we chose from the regular menu when we ask to see one. Which I did. My portions were small as for a child. Very disappointed. Others in the restaurant were given regular menus. They were out of all desserts but one. My review is my experience and does not reflect others in my groups opinions!

Great food. Definitely a repeat. I had the pork chops with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The chops were thin sliced but ample quantity. Wife had salad with salmon and enjoyed it very much. The place is in an antique/gift shop.

First time eating at Ro’c. What gem! It’s a small quaint restaurant in the back of an antique store. The service was so friendly and laid back. They dimmed the lights and play
light easy listening music which really ads a very special ambiance to the whole place. ver. Last but not least the food was so great. We had the chicken panini and a chicken pesto dish. Their macaroni and cheese was the best. Will definitely return again.

This is a true gem of a restaurant! Located along the village square up from the city museum in a very small very quaint historic area.

Entering you step into a vintage resale antique craft shop. As you wander throughout the restaurant is located in the rear. Nothing fancy, eclectic furnishings and unless busy, you seat yourself. It’s a very laid back experience so relax and enjoy the pace.

But all this aside, this might just be some of the finest food in the county. Shrimp and grits is a staple along the gulf in South Texas yet this recipe is different in a good way. Very large grilled spicy shrimp immersed in the creamiest grits I’ve ever had. Flavors of garlic and herbs never faded. There were half dozen shrimp but so large I couldn’t finish them all. My companion chose the Chipotle Roasted Salmon and was as happy with his meal as was I. The large salmon steak was smeared with a beautiful dark ruby chipotle jam and was as moist and tender as it could be while still maintaining its form. Served with buttery rice and fresh out of the garden herbed medley of squashes and onions. The service was fine, the chefs attentive.

There were a few missteps such as not having a spoon for the grits and not having a plate under the bowl for the shrimp tails. But then this is a very very casual restaurant so easily overlooked when the food is so darn good. And the food IS darn good. There was nothing that wasn’t absolutely delicious, fresh and beautifully presented.

We had a lovely dinner here the other night! Excellent food, every meal we ordered was fantastic! Don’t skip the cake! A little hard to find, but worth the experience. We will be back the next time we visit!

Food was amazing. Service was slow but I think they only had one waitress working. It is a small operation in the back of another business so there are only 6 or 8 tables. Waitress was friendly but she had a lot to keep up with. She did the best she could.
