Casual restaurant serving Thai standards, including pad thai, curries & basil chicken stir-fry.

I ordered Pad Kee Mao to go. To my surprise, it had no basil and they put lettuce instead. The lettuce didn’t match and gave it an odd flavor.
Staff service was okay, but there was no smile and no greeting. Overall, the food and service left me disappointed. Basil is the spirit of this dish.

The curry is atrocious. I was literally looking for normal, plain, yellow curry. This isn’t yellow. I got the lowest spice (medium) yet the entire thing is insanely spicy to the point where it is genuinely inedible to kids. We literally just wanted normal thai yellow curry, I don’t even mind that its spicy but this tastes NOTHING like curry. A really big disappointment. Mango sticky rice is fine for the price though. Curry is really really hard to mess up, so this is like really really dissapointing. I can promise that you can go get yellow curry from ANY other thai restaraunt and they will ALL taste consistent, but this one doesn’t even make it to the list of “curry”, like its as simple as “anyone who tastes this will say this isnt thai yellow curry.”

I had an amazing meal at Thai Spice! The Shrimp Fried Rice was perfectly seasoned — flavorful without being greasy, and the shrimp were fresh and tender. The Shrimp Chow Mein had just the right balance of savory sauce, crisp veggies, and chewy noodles — so satisfying. And to finish off, the Mango Sticky Rice was absolutely delicious — the mango was sweet and ripe, and the sticky rice was perfectly creamy with coconut flavor.
Great portions, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely one of my new favorite Thai spots in Irvine!

Great service. Good portion size for the prices. I’ve grown up going to Thai Spice and it was the first Pad Thai I ever had. I still love it. It’s a bit sweet at this location, but not bad. The food was fresh and hot.
The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t let you order takeout ahead of time. You can only do ASAP.

Thai Spice has such a small menu that it’s easy to grab exactly what you want and sometimes there’s beauty in simplicity.
I was craving pad see ewe and didn’t feel like driving all the way down to Garden Grove to hit up my favorite restaurant so I decided to give Thai Spice a try. I actually live closer to the Irvine Marketplace location but saw such bad reviews that it turned me off to it and made me want to drive to this location.
Thankfully, parking is not as chaotic as the marketplace so it wasn’t difficult to find. Despite the restaurant looking empty, it’s actually relatively busy especially considering we went on a Sunday at 8pm. You order at the counter and take a seat at the few tables they have downstairs. They have additional seating upstairs for those who dine in but I am not sure if they drop it off to your table or if you pick it up at the window.
Pad See Ewe with Beef — $9.95 — very dry and the beef was so-so. I didn’t like that the noodles were cut up into smaller pieces either.
Egg Fried Rice with Shrimp — $10.95 — honestly could have made this myself. Consisted of white rice with soy sauce, egg, peas, and several pieces of shrimp.
Overall, I would have probably done better by learning how to make these items on my own as they did not feel like an especially good value to me. I don’t think I’d plan to return here unless their quality of food improves in the near future.

Food is good here but beware of the spice as it can be hotter than expected. The upstairs here was closed and the seating options were limited. No free soda refills here. We had the dynamite wings, pad thai and pad see ew.

This place is located in Orange County, and is a good place for a quick bite to eat. Dynamite Wings are tasty with a honey glaze. But, eat them slowly because the red pepper flakes seeds can get stuck in your throat . They are freshly fried witch is a plus, they can take a good 20 minutes for you to get them, so get an appetizer if your really hungry. Seating is good, you have lots to choose from, indoor and outdoor. Bathrooms are pretty clean, now a days that’s a plus . After your done with the wings, you will need a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and a good hand wash before you leave . Service was good, and food is consistent overall. We’ve been coming here for about 14 years . Anyway….we hope you enjoy .

Flavor on the chicken pad thai was on point. Easily one of my new favorite spots for pad thai as they have some of the best Thai food in Irvine. Kitchen is well staffed and the food comes out fresh and hot. Had medium spice and it had a beautiful kick to it. I definitely if you are looking for some of the best Pad Thai in Irvine.

Great food. Fast service. Nice outside eating area. Got the Chicken Pad Thai and it was on the sweeter side, but still amazing. Thai Spice Fried Rice was also delicious. $30 for two hefty sized portions. Will be coming back!

Horrible Horrible food.
We ordered the Pad Thai and the fried rice. This was a to go order. This, was the worst Thai food we’ve had. The chicken was old “funky chicken” and the beef was tough.
We definitely made a mistake ordering here.
The food was tasted old and reheated. It was terrible.
Be warned! Do not eat here!
