Although expensive, and I wish the fried chicken were in pieces like normal instead of half a chicken, the breading and skin was amongst the best I have ever had. Amazingly crispy. As a shared app we had the Beet Risotto Fritter. What a concept and the flavors were off the charts. Savory with a hint of sweetness from the beets. Served on a bed of lentils. My friend had the pork chop which was very nice served with some Dungeness crab with blood oranges and a chili oil which was wonderful. With the chicken the had a Black Trumpet Aioli, and not being a mushroom fan I asked if the had anything else. The waitress asked the chef and he came up with a sauce for me which was good but I also told the waitress that I would be willing to try the Aioli. Never let it be said I’m not willing for try something even knowing I have never liked it and I’m 65, lol. It turned out to be wonderful. No overpowering mushroom taste. For dessert I had chocolate olive oil cake, and my friend had the chocolate mousse. Both were outstanding. If you drink decaf, get it. It was wonderful which isn’t always the case with decaf. Served in a French press was wonderful. I will definitely go back to try some of their pastas. They looked delicious but I had my heart set on the chicken. I really would give it 4.5 stars but it won’t let me.

We had such a fantastic experience at Home in Soquel. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for the night. The ambiance feels both cozy and elevated, the kind of place we instantly wanted to come back to.
The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell the chefs really care about what they’re putting on the plate. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and they made the whole experience feel personal.
It’s rare to find a place that nails the food, the ambiance, and the service all at once, but Home pulls it off beautifully. Easily one of our new favorite spots in the area. Highly recommend!

I took family and we all shared appetizers and a taste of our different entrees. The pate was the surprise hit. All the entrees were excellent! The lime cheesecake was as delightful as the chocolate mouse☺️

Now that we are on the other side of planning our wedding there, we can’t imagine choosing anywhere else besides HOME for our special day. We booked the entire restaurant and backyard for our ceremony and reception because it fit our top priorities: great food, beautiful location, and the convenience of restaurant/all-inclusive service. Through every step of the planning process we felt that our money was going not only to a great venue and excellent food, but the kind of experience we wanted for ourselves and our guests. Ryan was a great help and guide for making sure our day went as smoothly as possible. If you have guests with dietary restrictions or allergies, I can’t think of a better place to accommodate those needs while still providing a top-tier meal for everyone. Many of our guests raved about the cocktail hour and dinner, saying it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding (and we have to say we agree!) Ryan and the whole team at HOME are so professional and experienced with running events that every moment of the day felt seamless. They worked so hard to make sure we enjoyed our party, and I can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for a spectacular place to hold a special event. A huge thank you Ryan, chef Briske, and the whole team at HOME for helping us create the best wedding day we could have hoped for!

We hosted our wedding at HOME, and it was everything we dreamed of, and then some. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and magical, the staff was incredibly kind, and the food was unbelievable. Every detail was handled with so much care and intention.
We had never been to HOME before our wedding trip, so it was a bit of a leap of faith – but we would do it again in a heartbeat. The space, the energy, the people… it all came together so seamlessly.
A special shoutout to Ryan, who was an absolute gem throughout the night. His calm, easygoing energy paired with behind-the-scenes precision made everything feel effortless. He checked in with us throughout the evening, made sure we were taken care of, and truly brought our vision to life.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the entire experience, from the food to the vibe to the incredible staff, and that meant the world to us. Several of our friends and family have strict dietary restrictions (including celiac and gluten-free), and they were blown away by how expansive, thoughtful, and delicious the menu was. Many told us it was one of the best meals they’ve ever had, and some couldn’t believe they were finally able to enjoy fried chicken again after years of going without. Chef Brad crafted an exceptional menu that was not only accommodating, but deeply memorable for everyone.
HOME is a one-of-a-kind place. If you’re lucky enough to plan an event here, know that you’re in the best hands. We can’t wait to return.

Excellent food, great service, beautiful ambience, especially in the garden on a nice day, but indoors is cozy as well. lots of local farms represented for produce and meat and fish, vegetarian options as well. One of the best in the county.

Excellent restaurant! The food was ridiculously good. Steak Tartare Beef Cheeks Beet Fritter Cauliflower the only knock is that we sat on the back patio which I do not recommend in February. Very cold but the staff was super accommodating and brought us heaters.

Great restaurant! We came in with no expectations because of its location, but it really exceeded them. The place feels cozy, like a home 😉
Charcuterie board: 8/10 – They dry their own meat, and you can taste the earthy flavor. The locally dried persimmon is a nice touch
Focaccia with garlic butter: 8/10 – Super fresh, and the butter is so creamy.
Crab salad: 8/10 – The fennel and orange pair perfectly with the pieces of crab.
Pasta with meat: 9.5/10 – (I forgot the name of the dish!) Mini ravioli filled with cheek meat. The deep, rich meat flavors were incredible.
Beef tartare: 8/10 – Smooth and full of flavor, with the caviar on top being a great addition.
Both the cheesecakes and the coffee panna cotta were fantastic, 8.5/10.
Highly recommend this place! We’ll definitely be back.
