Delicious food and large portions. We ordered the butter chicken momo, the veggie chow mein, and the chai. The chai came with a little bowl of sugar so you can customize the sweetness. The butter chicken momo, sauce wise was delicious, but I wish the momo was not deep fried but instead steamed as it was a bit harder. The veggie chow mein was very tasty and the portion was huge. Street parking only. Would come back again to try their other dishes. Booth and table seating available. There are lunch specials on weekdays.

Went as a party of four last night and ordered a bunch of different dishes. This was our first time eating here and we were all impressed with the food. Fresh and flavourful.
Our server was very friendly and polite and took the time to explain some the dishes for us and take our photo.
Affordable prices, the portions are big, and we all had leftovers to take home.
We are glad we decided to go here and will definitely be back. Recommend!

We tried this place after reading great reviews. We ordered Gravy Paneer momos and Egg chowmein. Both the dishes were so delicious and the portion sizes were very good. The service was excellent. We will be back here to try other dishes.

Review on the 2nd visit – we went here again and the food and service were as wonderful as the first time. Must visit. Tried veggie chowmein and jhol veggie momos this time.

One of the best spots for authentic Nepali cuisine! The flavors are truly exceptional—every bite is a delight. I highly recommend the Butter Chicken Momos; they’re an absolute must-try. Can’t wait to visit again!

I visited this restaurant for the first time and unfortunately had a very bad experience. We ordered pani puri and found a hair in it, which was very unpleasant. The tea was also poorly served, with chai pati residue left on the brim of the cup, making it look unhygienic.

We also tried the noodles, but they were not tasty and quite disappointing. I complained to the staff about the hair in the pani puri and the overall taste of the food, but my concerns were not acknowledged or addressed.

Overall, the lack of hygiene and the staff’s response to the complaint made the experience worse. I hope the restaurant takes customer feedback seriously and improves their food quality and cleanliness.

The food was good with big portion. The staff was hospitable and offered to take leftover food. It was a clean and quiet atmosphere. Less waiting time.

Highly recommended for those who wanna have to try Nepalese, Indian and Chinese cuisines.

We’ve visited Mt Everest 8848 twice in the past few months, and both experiences were great overall. The butter chicken momos are an absolute must-try—the gravy is rich and delicious! Chilli momos were also a hit, and the tava chicken had amazing flavor, though the texture was slightly tough on the outside.

On our second visit, we loved the butter chicken momos again and tried the BBQ chicken momos, which didn’t impress us as much. However, the house special chow mein (with chicken, prawns, and egg) were a pleasant surprise—even as someone who doesn’t usually enjoy saucy noodles, I loved them.

The portions are generous, and the staff is very polite and friendly. Definitely recommend this place, especially for the butter chicken momos!

Ordered butter chicken momos, lamb Rogan Josh, chicken korma and the aloo gobhi.

All were mediocre. Found each lacking the spices/flavour of these meals. Price was alright for the quality.

The Aloo gobhi was wet and swimming in a sauce , when normally I’ve had this dish, it’s with a small amount of liquid. The potatoes n cauliflower are with a crust. This was not the case.

Found the korma lacking in all fronts. It was creamy, light but lacking Indian spices.

Lamb was cooked and tender, the sauce wasn’t what I was hoping for.

The dishes I ordered lacks the depth and warmth often associated with this ideas of Indian food.

Personally won’t be coming back here, it was worth a try after seeing all these great reviews.

Mt Everest 8848 does not disappoint! We had an exceptional experience dining in. Firstly, the food was top notch. We ordered a few dishes. The veg chowmein was masterfully done in Nepali style with a blend of masala and traditional Chinese flavors. The butter veg momos were such a unique fusion, but also excellent— I’d recommend this as an appetizer to share with the table. The third dish we got was the Chicken Thukpa and… wow! This soup was unlike anything I’ve ever had. It had the flavors of a chicken curry, the savoriness of a homemade soup, and was filled with fresh veg, clean chicken, and nice noodles— it was perfect for a cold night. Lastly, the milk tea was a great way to end the meal; it was well balanced and creamy. Also, we were impressed with the large portion sizes.

The server was so kind and managed a busy night of dine in customers and door dash delivery orders. We went during dinner hours (6-8pm) on Friday. If you go during these hours, be ready to be patient, but trust me, the food is completely worth it.

The atmosphere is simple, and reminded us of the Khaja Ghars (small, social restaurants that serve meals and tea) that can be found throughout Nepal. Take out seems to be more popular then dining in, but we enjoyed our eat-in experience. It is not incredibly fancy, but humble, simple, and the food speaks for itself.

We will be back! I’d encourage you to try Nepali cuisine, these folks know what they are doing.
