A local neighborhood bar that has some good eats and friendly service. They have a wide range of food items with daily specials. The Philly cheesesteak is pretty good here. My friend enjoyed his ribeye steak. The wings and nachos are good for sharing. The dessert specials are good and of great value. The staff here has been pretty friendly and quick every time that I have visited.

Have you ever had a place in your neighbourhood that you’ve driven by for decades, always thought about going in but also thought, nah, that place doesn’t look like I’d ‘fit in, or like or whatever’?.
Buddies is mine. Tonight we stopped in as we were right across the street for just a simple burger and a beer.
Dudes, there is nothing simple about this menu and we were not only blown away but actually slightly embarrassed we hadn’t been by before.
I had the mushroom swiss and Yes, you absolutely CAN have brie instead of swiss.
Hubby had the fish n chips. This, has been a slight challenge for us as most Fish We get is always More batter than fish. Not here. Every bite was a light crisp coating and then a very meaty chunk. He chose halibut over cod I’m sure the cod would have been just as good.
The fries were the epitomy of what crispy/soft fries should be.
The garlic Aoli, can be a soup.
The cole slaw was the exact blend to bring back memories. I know it isn’t everybody’s taste, but it Is the perfect one to add raisens too. Perfect on its own with balanced flavour but my child’s heart thought, I’d I had a box of raisens right now…
This is absolutely a neighbourhood haunt. You can tell by the interaction of the staff with every body who walks in. The waitress was friendly, quick and deserves a liveable wage.
The cooks apparently have been there for a while and with what we experienced and saw on the menu, we will be back to try many of the other items.
For a quick stop in and drink, the Bar Menu is pretty impressive in itself.
Give it a shot, the menu in itself is worth a visit.

Food is great. I keep going back because not only is the food great but service is excellent and timeliness of food is amazing they can get busy at times but it’s worth it the only downfall is parking but I always find a way.

Spendy. Limited parking. Food and service have gone downhill since the owner and personnel change. Limited entertainment is Video Lottery and TV. Not sure why they replaced most of the personnel, but it definitely has a negative effect on everything. Usually plenty of seating as no one seems to be going there anymore after the price hikes and added meal fees. Regulars seem to have stop going. I doubt new customers come back after having a meal.

We’ve been going to Buddies at least once a month for 3 years now. The wait staff faces seem to change quite a bit, but the food has been consistently very good on all our visits. The majority of the menu is your typical sports bar food, but then they bust out specials like Prime Rib, Scampi, and Crème brûlée, things not typically found in your neighborhood grill, and these as well have been consistently good. Is it a knock you socks off meal you’ll never forget? No, but it’s consistently really good food and the wait staff even though the faces change have all been great.

I went for a late breaskfast on Sunday. The server (Jenny) was welcoming and friendly! She helped me find just what I was looking for on the menu. And the food was GREAT! Not only did it taste great but it looked pretty on the plate I was going to post a picture but I need to figure out how. Lol. Anyway. I drive past this place all the time but have never stopped by. I’ll definitely come back.
