We absolutely loved this place! Nice ambiance, fast and good service, very accommodating, and the food was superb! I got the tomato pesto pasta and was allowed to substitute the rigatoni for angel hair, and loved the amount of vegetables it came with. My husband got the chicken Piccata with pasta side. We both agreed that the flavors were superb, like elevated homemade deliciousness. The tomato sauce and the tomato pesto were both so good, not acidic, delicious! How I wish we would live closer!

Frankensteins having a 4.7 rating is legitimately mayhem. At best, it’s in the 3.3 ball park. Some notable data points – the service and crew were wonderful (minus our waitress charging us $3.50 for carbonated water – lol). The seating upstairs is sort of like sardines – so, not as intimate as one might prefer.. not sure why this happens either, plenty of room elsewhere. The food was bland.. the bolognese, the chicken piccata and the bread were ROUGH. The vodka noodles were the best thing on the menu (minus the hot chocolate). I get this is in a little tourist town – and there are limited Italian spots, but this is probably an avoid for future trips. Of note, we were promptly sat due to low traffic.

Excellent experience. Service was amazing, Hope really took care of us guiding us through the menu, she really nailed it with her recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect all throughout the meal. Food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and super interesting. The place is very picturesque, very cutesy, airy, and pleasing. 10/10, would definitely recommend, great experience all around!

Francesco’s Restobar is awesome. The meatballs as a starter were full of flavor and really well made. The Short Rib Balsamic was super tender with an amazing sauce, and the Rigatoni alla Vodka was creamy and perfectly balanced.
The cocktails definitely deserve a shoutout — well crafted, great presentation, and the perfect match for the food. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, and definitely a place I’d come back to.

Exceptional service from everyone! There is an upstairs & downstairs outdoor patio along with a lot of seating inside. They offered to unlock the downstairs area and let us sit out in the sun if we wanted, but we didn’t want to make the server go up and down the stairs, so they found us a place in the sun on the upstairs patio. The drinks were decent. The fried cheese sticks and calamari were both delicious and fresh-tasting. Hope was an excellent server who was there when we needed her, but never rushed us. The bread they bring out is also delicious. Finally a place with good food in Helen after so many previous bad experiences in the area.

The food and service was amazing!! I got the Chicken alla Piccata and my husband got the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The sauces are incredible, and very evidently made in-house. Our server was so sweet and conversational as well.

Came here late last night (30 minutes before close) after a very long day and coming from touring the Smokies 2 hours away. Despite coming in on such late notice, we were not rushed and served like any other guest – not exactly what you see in many places nowadays. The food my bf and I got was great (fettuccini with broccoli and sausage plus a wing appetizer), an the drinks were amazing (imported German beer on draft, holiday menu margarita, and an espresso martini). The margarita was beautiful and delicious, and the espresso martini was perfection!
Our server was Hannah, and she was courteous, patient, and welcoming – even stopped to talk to us for a little chat despite being near the end of her shift. The GM, Salvador (also our bartender) was really generous for giving us the recipe for the espresso martini (fresh espresso btw, not just concentrate that most use) on top of giving us go-to places for wine (Wolf Mountain) and beer (Etowah – hope I’m spelling that right) and giving us a sample of a delicious beer (Creature Comfort – really smooth, “sweet” in the sense of its fruity aroma).
Thank you both for the outstanding service, and I highly recommend dropping by this establishment while visiting Helen, GA. If yall can help it though, don’t make like me and come 30 minutes before close if you can help it. Although it was a great experience, please don’t take advantage of this generous gesture.

Really friendly staff, huge porch with both covered and uncovered seating options. I had the eggplant Parmesan with side of Alfredo & it was AMAZING. The best Alfredo I have ever had- so flavorful! My husband had the meat & cheese flatbread & loved it! They have Peroni on draft- which is hard to find but so good! Amazing outdoor bar/seating area for stopping in to have a quick drink or to eat. Also have indoor seating. Most definitely a new date night spot & will be sharing with friends & family! So pleased to have stumbled upon this gem!!

We had an incredible dinner at Franchesco’s Restobar, and the experience was made even better by our amazing server, Brenda. She was absolutely fantastic and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Her attention to detail and warm, welcoming personality truly elevated the entire evening.
We started with the Mozzarella Fritta, which were perfectly crispy and paired with the most flavorful marinara sauce. The house crostini with oil and vinegar was delicious, a simple bite done exactly right. We also ordered the Caesar salad as a salad course, which was fresh and well prepared.
For our entrées, we ordered the chicken parmesan and chicken piccata. Both dishes were excellent, and the portions were massive. Each plate could easily serve two people. Their red sauce was especially fantastic and tasted rich, fresh, and homemade.
The house cabernet was great quality, and the cocktails were perfectly balanced. We were extremely tempted by the homemade tiramisu and crème brûlée and instantly regretted not ordering them. They will definitely be on our list next time.
The only minor downside was that our entrées arrived before we had finished our apps and salad, which speaks more to their efficiency than anything else.
Between the food, the drinks, and Brenda’s outstanding service, this was a truly memorable dinner. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Franchesco’s Restobar to anyone visiting Helen.
