i am still dreaming of the meal i had here. the potato bites are heavenly, and the baklava ice cream just melted in my mouth. their bread was fresh and the kebabs themselves had the perfect amount of flavor. next time i am in dc i will be revisiting!!

Pretty decent food but the music is so loud that my throat was hurting after having a casual conversation with a friend over dinner. Servers were nice and respectful but weren’t very attentive to us and we had to wait quite some time for our checks. The seating was exceptionally uncomfortable as well.

I would recommend checking it out but not ideal for conversations or a relaxed vibe.

I have to make a trip to YELLOW every time I’m in DC and it never disappoints. First time in the Union Market location. This visit: Golden date latte, lamb pita, labne zaatar croissant… all delicious. Was super sweet to see Chef Rafidi in the restaurant working alongside his staff.

Great place, the coffee is really good. It’s small and there was a line, but it moves fast. We had the zaatar croissant, which comes filled with labneh, though I think they could put a little more. We also tried another pastry with pistachio filling. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing! I absolutely love Yellow. I’ve been multiple times, tried multiple things and have yet to be disappointed.

I seriously think this is one of the best cafes in DC. It is an instant recommendation when I hear someone is a foodie or into trying new foods.

I highly recommend the Skeeha, it is so flavorful and absolutely delicious.

My one comment is that I noticed they switched their potato side dish. It used to be the thousand layer potato type, which was delicious, but now it is more hashbrown. It is still delicious, but just a minor change that impacted how you eat it.

Additionally, be prepared for a line/wait!!

Tucked in the back corner of NOMO, a fun artistic neighborhood of DC that is really waking up, is Yellow. It was recommended to me by a colleague who lives around the corner and it didn’t disappoint. Excellent vibe and a simple menu of drinks, Kebabs, Hummus, and nice selection of salads and sides. The flavor was anything but simple. It was stunning. The Lebanese G&T got my attention right away this was going to be a great experience. The flatbread and hummus was outstanding. I chose the lamb kebab which was off the charts good and left me feeling good after. The sign of fresh Med food is that it gives you life and doesn’t make you feel bloated after. I had the Turkish affogato which was a nice treat for dessert. Next time I will do the twist as i think it’s a better compliment to a fabulous meal. Awesome spot!

Food was yummy (breakfast pita) and their chocolate cruffin was even better! My latte was more milk than espresso shots. The service was great and everyone was kind! They did forget one of our food items so I had to ask, but they solved it right away and the worker in charge of calling food helped us find a spot to sit. That being said, the atmosphere is kind of hectic, it was SUPER busy, which this place is popular so it makes sense. Seating is super limited and it seems like they have more people going for food than to sip on a coffee and work so there were a handful of people sitting with laptops at huge tables working while tons of people ordering food didn’t have a place. Feels like they need to just kind of lean into what they want to be and have a order first system then get seating. Other than that, inside is a vibe and very aesthetic!

Ordered 2 warm drinks and 2 breakfast sandwiches our total was a little over $40. All the items were amazing, would highly recommend. The price point makes it a every once in a while not weekly stop.

we came to get a coffee and a pastry initially but ended up also ordering the lamb pita which was one of the most amazing things I have ever tried in DC as a DMV native. A must try! Also loved the zaatar croissant filled with labneh.

My daughter and her partner had been to Yellow Restaurant at Union Market before they took me there this evening for dinner. Their gushing praise of this place was not misplaced. I’m sorry I didn’t get photos of every dish, but I do include some high lights below. I was enchanted by the complex flavors in the lamb sausage. The oysters on the half-shell were indescribably delicious. The pita bread, a real bread, fresh and fluffy burst with flavor, and the dips were fabulous. We had a lovely waitress who gave us the perfect amount of attention. The atmosphere gets dinged because it’s just loud. High, hard walls do nothing to moot the sounds and the music was loud. I pity the people who have to work in that din all day and half way into the night. Medicare doesn’t pay for hearing aides.
