I ordered off of door dash late last night because it was the only thing open. I got two pastas—pesto fettuccine and spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread. We ate the fettuccine last night, it was good. No issues. Today for lunch I heated up the spaghetti. I noticed that it had an old smell and taste to it, kind of like how a dirty refrigerator smells, but I just figured it was me being weird and I would try to get past it. Well, halfway through eating I noticed that the garlic bread HAD MOLD ON IT. FUZZY GREEN AND WHITE MOLD. I already ate half of it and was just purely disgusted. I contacted door dash and they agreed and refunded my order. THIS IS DISGUSTING. I have never been here before and this is my experience. Since the bread was moldy, I’m assuming that I was right in noticing the odd taste and smell of the spaghetti. YOU CANNOT RUN A BUSINESS LIKE THIS, YOU WILL GET SOMEONE SICK. I am contacting the health department about this issue, and trust me, if I get sick I WILL NOT LET THIS GO!

Honestly I took a chance on the artichoke chicken pizza instead of the tomato, basil pizza and I’m really disappointed they’re gonna be needs to be more to this pizza like an extra ingredient like tomatoes because of the artichoke taste. I will order again, but I’m ordering the tomatoes next time I want to try the pesto sauce, but I’m scared. I’m not gonna like it.

I want to love this place, but I just can’t do it. I’ve been twice, both times the place has been dirty. Dirty walls, floors, and tables that look like they have the crumbs brushed off, but have visible grease streaks in the sunlight and are never cleaned. It smelled like natural gas, and there were dozens of empty pop cans stacked up on both garbage cans. Myself and my guest were the only people in the restaurant, so there was no rush to get us slices, yet still they were only reheated halfway. Melted cheese at the tip and the edges and cold in the middle. The atmosphere of sitting on a barstool at the window was ruined by a soccer game playing on the TV, with the volume blaring way WAY too loudly, in what I believe was Arabic. I see that the owner reads and responds to these messages. You have a great location and concept, but keeping your place unclean and with no concern for your customers experience is gonna kill your repeat business. Every single thing I mentioned from my experience is easily fixed by giving an S.

This place is da bomb! It’s called Milan Pizzeria but it is more like NYC pizza than anywhere I’ve had in the Detroit area! Great pizza, great service! Simple, tasty and a true pizzeria experience in Royal Oak! In the immortal words of Arnold… I’ll be back!

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I’ve never been treated with such blatant disrespect over something as small as soda. I purchased three canned pops—one for my sister, one for my wife, and the third was literally in the employee’s hand—and was still accused of lying. Yes, lying… over three canned sodas that were clearly on my receipt.
Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff chose to argue and go back and forth with me, as if I had something to gain by making it up. They even counted the drinks I had already handed out, trying to prove a point that didn’t exist. It was honestly embarrassing and incredibly disappointing.
The lack of customer service and basic courtesy is astonishing. With so many great options in Royal Oak, there’s no reason to ever return to Milan Pizza. I’ll take my business somewhere that values their customers and knows how to read a receipt.

I was killing time before a comedy show and needed a quick bite to eat. This place is great. Really good service and very quick. I’d rate the pizza probably a 3.75/5 but If you factor in the service, price and convenience it’s definitely a 10.

Great & friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere food is fresh every time. And the pizza is great. Mozzarella sticks here are delicious too! Iv including photos of last two times we went and they definitely did not disappoint! Milan pizzeria is the most every time we visit Royal Oak now

Literally the BEST place for pizza!! It’s so much different than any other pizza place I’ve ever had and the service is amazing. I drive over 30 minutes just to come here and each time I’m NEVER disappointed. I highly highly highly recommend to everyone!! ❤️

Excellent pizza! Kind of a funny story the first time I had this pizza it showed up at my house randomly from a mistaken DoorDash order. Make no mistake about it this pizza is delicious!
Well they found a new customer because it was great. I have now tried the Tijuana pizza, fully loaded. Great sauce, fresh toppings, perfectly cooked crust.
There is a ton of good pizza in Michigan and especially Oakland county but Milan doesn’t disappoint! Staff was nice too
