Nice Curry House (!) Just a short walk from my hotel. Quick to get me seated and drink sorted, how service should be. A lot of different curries here, not much in the way of the usual. I had Poppadoms and Pickles to start, the chilli jam was superb. Chicken Makhani and Pilau Rice and a naan. All came in at just over £31 so quite a bit more than most of these establishments. Worth it? I’m not entirely made up. Food was good but not exceptional for the uplift in price.

My god! Finally I could find a place which really tastes like Indian food like authentic one, no readymade sauces, it was a beautiful Diwali dinner for us. The streets of Bombay literally took me there to Bombay streets, just love it!!!
Approved by Indian so please try for sure

Fab little Indian restaurant. Accommodated us after a show in Shrewsbury and hadn’t booked but welcomed in and given the best service and a gorgeous mushroom balti – not on the menu but made up exactly as we asked for it. Not hassled to buy drinks from the bar, fab fresh poppadoms. Not the cheapest but definitely worth a visit.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at THE CURRY HOUSE , and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The decor was modern yet comfortable, creating the perfect setting for a delightful meal.

The star of the show, however, was the curry. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor, perfectly balanced and expertly spiced. The menu offered a variety of curry options, from traditional classics to innovative new creations. I opted for the Lamb Shank, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The meat was tender, and the sauce was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of heat.

What impressed me most was the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience. The service was prompt and attentive, ensuring that my water glass was never empty and my needs were always met. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations.

The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return to try more of the menu.

In summary, THE CURRY HOUSE is a must-visit for curry lovers. Whether you’re a fan of traditional dishes or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant offers something for everyone. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

Came here from a recommendation as a place to try while visiting the UK. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were very polite. I would definitely come here again on my next visit. The chicken Naga was the best dish I had.

This place was recommended.

It is mid week and when I arrive there were two couples already seated and enjoying their food.
The staff are very accommodating and happy to explain any of the dishes. The food portions were suitable, after all, by the time you have had poppadoms, a starter, main plus nans etc. You get rather full and then there is drinks on top of that. One of my bugbears is the temperature of food and I’m happy to say that it passed. The quality of the tikka chicken starter was very good, not dry, but tender and moist enough to make me take notice.

I’m happy to recommend this place. But it will be a while before I return as I live in Scotland and here on holiday.

Came to the Curry House Shrewsbury on their exclusive ‘Gourmet nights’ they have on during the week for my wife’s birthday. The dishes were presented beautifully and the taste was something you’d find in a Michelin starred restaurant. Each ingredient complements each other well and highlights the chefs creativity. I personally went for the Amrisari chicken and then a lamb shank for the main. Both dishes were bursting with flavour, and the lamb in particular was falling off the bone. Credit to the CH team and I will certainly be back to try the rest of the menu!

First (and last) time ordering from The Curry House … after hearing good things about this place, we chose to order a takeaway to be delivered to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Sadly, we were really disappointed with the quality of the food we received. The Saag Aloo was like a half portion. Most of the food was barely warm, despite being delivered 20 mins early. Overall, it was a poor experience. we paid £50 for one starter, two mains, a shared rich, a shared side and a shared naan bread.

Recently visited the Curry House Shrewsbury for their Gourmet menu & it was exceptional! Their food is always great but the gourmet menu is definitely a favourite for a special occasion. The bombay bindi aloo & Seabass palak were the best I have ever had. They never fail to amaze, from the service to the quality of food served. Couldn’t recommend them enough.
