Hands down the best sushi in Miami! Everything we tried was beyond delicious. The summer roll was so fresh and flavorful, the tuna crispy rice was perfectly done, and the Golfer Guard roll might just be the best flavored roll I’ve ever had. We also tried the Khao Soi chicken (our absolute favorite!)—so rich, comforting, and full of flavor. On top of the amazing food, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. I can’t wait to come back!

I was at Baptist South Miami with my fiancé post-labor and needed a late-evening meal. We were craving Korean fried chicken and I randomly selected Pla-Tu to order from. Uber arrived and they brought the wrong order. I called Pla-Tu and one of the employees (or maybe owner??) assured me that she would personally remake the order and drive it to me. The food I received was so fresh and delicious. The service was incredible – I felt valued, like they cared about me. Such a great experience. Can’t wait to try more of the menu!

Great variety of Japanese and Thai flavors with a wide assortment of menu items. I found the Shishito peppers to have a phenomenal breading and were perfectly fried although seemed to lack a bit of flavor. I also ordered the Chicken Khao Soi which had a deep fried egg noodle I was not a fan of at all but the spiced coconut broth was DIVINE! I would give the meal a 6 star rating based on the noodle soup alone due specifically to the broth. We also ordered several sushi rolls which were prepared fresh to order and were very good, but nothing that sets it apart from other sushi rolls in Miami. I will definitely return to try a curry dish which I assume is the star feature of the restaurant. I personally had the spicy tuna roll which was ok. Service was excellent and menu items were priced fairly. The restaurant was very clean and there was some free parking available in the parking garage to the east of the restaurant, but with limited spaces. I would have left a four star rating based overall on my meal but all things considered I left 5 stars.

We’ve been coming to Pla-tu for a few years and it’s definitely one of our favorite restaurants in the city. We have tried almost every dish in their menu so we have favorites we always order. Those include the spicy chicharron, bang bang shrimp, crispy rice topped with tuna, krab rangoon, salmon truffle roll, Chicken khaosoi, the omakase, and lately the tuna toro bowl. The first time we had the bowl it was mind blowing and this time around it wasn’t quite the same but they tend to be consistent with their flavors. We also usually get our meal very quickly. What is great about Pla-tu is the dishes are common dishes found in other restaurants but taste elevated and fresh. Even the Thai donuts are probably the best I’ve ever had in Miami. For the price it’s definitely worth coming here and have some of freshest fish in the city.
