This place is an absolute gem. The pizza is hands down some of the best I’ve ever had perfectly crisp crust, incredible flavor, and you can tell every ingredient is chosen with care. Every bite tastes intentional.
What really sets this spot apart, though, is the owner. They are super knowledgeable about everything from the dough fermentation process to the sourcing of ingredients, and they’re incredibly kind and welcoming. You can feel how much pride and passion they have for what they do, and it makes the whole experience even better.
Amazing pizza, wonderful atmosphere, and genuinely great people behind it. I’ll be back again and again.

What an undertaking. I’ve been by twice and can affirm that Old Village General is a keen addition to the neighborhood. The concept is unique but still simple enough to appeal to everyone.
The owner’s passionate about the business and the area, and has done a phenomenal job creating a welcoming space for neighbors to convene (or swing by for take away, order for delivery).
Everything I’ve had has been stellar (Italian Sandwich and Spicy Pepperoni Pizza), fresh with quality ingredients. No shortage of flavor and very reasonable prices for what they’re offering. I love that they feature hyper-local items for sale in the shop and strive to utilize Michigan-sourced products on the menu. (Guernsey Ice Cream, Dearborn cold cuts, Better Made chips).
I hope everyone gets out to support this gem of a joint. Small businesses are the pulse of any neighborhood worth its salt. In a country hellbent on destroying them, here’s hoping the Plymouth community knows better. Please, no more Papa Johns franchise locations, down with Panera Bread and Subway. Throw your money behind these projects with a bit more soul, they’re what makes a house a home, in the end.

I had to check out the new general store in Old Village Plymouth. What they’ve done with the place is awesome and a much needed addition to the neighborhood I came hungry and the Italian sub was done just right and did not disappoint They also have a wide selection of drinks to choose from, I got a Faygo pop to go with my sub And I couldn’t resist the Guernsey soft-serve ice cream for dessert that was sooo good, with sprinkles too I also liked the comfortable outdoor seating on the lawn with picnic tables and front deck couch to relax and enjoy my meal and ice cream Great spot to come for a decent meal, to take the kids, an ice cream date, or to hang with friends and play cornhole; and I will definitely be back

We’ve been excited to try OVG since they opened and wow, we were not disappointed!! The inside is so cute, the pizza was incredible, and the service was super friendly. I love how they offered us paper plates during our carry out to invite us to stay and eat there. We ended up eating outside at one of the picnic tables. 🙂

Very friendly and engaging service. A clean & cozy place to stop for a nice lunch. They also sell local goods/wares. Yes, the pizza tastes just as good as it looks in the pictures. I saw the previous poster’s pics and had to stop by. The cheese sauce is also a “must-try”, you’re welcome.

Met and talked to the owner, Anthony. Very cool, laid back, and down to earth kind of guy. I’ve been a Plymouth resident all my life, and i’m glad to see something cool and new in the heart of Old Village. It’s refreshing and inviting, and the pizza is delicious.

We had driven by Old Village General several times, and decided to stop in on a Saturday afternoon to check it out. The store atmosphere is quaint and friendly. We decided to order a pepperoni and mushroom pizza to go. The owner asked if we were headed next door to the Bearded Lamb Brewery (he could deliver it there). What a GREAT SUGGESTION! We went next door and had drinks and played a board game while we waited for our pizza. The pizza was DELICIOUS! My husband is a pizza connoisseur and stated “I think we’ve found our new pizza place!”

I LOVE the margherita pizza as a vegetarian choice! Another great thing about OVG is that it has some smaller displays that feature things other local people make. I think it says a lot that the owner is not only about seeing the store do well, but others in the community too.
