As a huge foodie, chef and traveler, I can say without a doubt the food here is top notch! I had the chicken parmigiana, it was amazing! The chicken was cooked to perfection, the noodles Al dente, and the sauce was perfection! I look forward to coming back in two weeks to try a new item on the menu! BTW dinner is at 5pm sharp! Also, the home made potato chips are great with the spicy dip!

We were in town for one night & this place had great reviews so we walked to it from our hotel. It was a Monday night but very busy! It’s a fairly small place with a 1/3 of it being the bar & the rest the dining area, I would call it a locals spot with a cool vibe. The service was great & the food was excellent! The menu has a variety of options, some of them Basque inspired, that seemed to be a theme in Elko. We both got the “shrimp alfredo”, not it’s name on the menu but you get the idea, it was excellent & wow, 9-10 pieces of jumbo shrimp, I’ve never received that many shrimp in any dish, very generous! We shared the carrot cake which I’m pretty sure was made in house as it was a bit unique but very good! All in all, a great evening out & we would come back if ever in town again!

Been there twice, had the prime rib both times as it’s amongst the best I’ve had.

Pretty funny, last time I was there I got talking to the guy next to me at the bar and said to him how good it was. At some point I asked him what he did for work, I’m in mining and many people in elko are, he said he owned the place.. lol good thing I said good things about his food.

I want to hear I didn’t dine in but the place seemed really busy it was a Wednesday in the evening maybe around 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. For how busy they were my coworkers and I were helped promptly. The staff answered all our questions. I ordered the Wednesday night dinner special it was a braised lamb, it came with a dinner salad, a dinner roll, I think it was polenta on the side, and then there’s some sort of brown sauce kind of like gravy but not quite as thick very tasty. The meat was practically melting off the bone. It was $38 and some change, definitely one of the pricier options on the menu, there were more than a few entrees that were well under $20. I absolutely would recommend this place to anybody and I look forward to sitting down and getting to enjoy the atmosphere. I should have took pictures of the food it was presented pretty well even though it was in a takeout box

I had the best meal in Elko during my week stay at Machi’s Saloon on a lamb shanks night. Great atmosphere, and a local hangout. Was recommended by a friend who used to come here 20yrs ago and is a friend of owner John Lemich who serves at the bar.

Stopped in one evening for dinner. Nice bar and restaurant with character. I sat at the bar because it was only me. I had a cold Anchor Steam in the bottle. Dinner was the Mussels and linguine with chorizo which was spicy and superb. A hearty bowl with lots of mussels. It came with a simple salad and dinner roll. For dessert I had the carrot cake. It was served warm and was excellent. It is definitely a little different than what you normally expect with carrot cake. Overall a bit pricey given the bill
of $48 with tip.

Wait staff was great. Food was awesome. (And plenty of it.) Price was good. (Ordered an Appetizer, and an entree that came with fresh bread, and a salad and dessert.) The Carrot Cake dessert is unfreakin believable. (I’d like to eat an entire bathtub full of the Cream cheese, vanilla bean whip cream on top.) Environment is good…a little loud, but it’s expected when the place is packed. (Deservedly so.) If I was local I’d be broke cause every penny I had would be spent here.

(Picture of Carrot Cake and Egg Roll Appetizer. I would have taken a picture of the awesome pasta I had but I inhaled it too fast.)

In town for the mining expo so we anticipated there might be a wait. We got seated after about 15 mins and it took a while until we could place our orders but they were packed. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. We had the basque pasta, spaghetti and meatballs, stuffed pasta, chicken parm and pesto pasta! I had the pesto pasta – it was very different than typical pasta but it was very flavorful and would highly recommend it! Visit this place! They only take reservations for groups of 6.

I have had dinner here three times now.
Excellent prime rib, the bone in and boneless are both fantastic. Served with baked potato and seasonal veggies.
