The bar staff really needs to come up to speed- not at all attentive, observant or efficient . The property completely commands high end service with the atmosphere and talent in the kitchen but both nights we came in it took 19 minutes to even be greeted and this was with 6 maybe 8 customers scattered around d the bar . Maybe it was the “low man on the totem pole” crew having to work for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend but it’s just not good enough . Heather was here both nights and while she is friendly when she FINALLY does acknowledge you , still not good enough service wise . At least say hello – don’t make someone wait when you truly aren’t even close to being busy . I really disappointed by this . I hope some changes are made for next time I come to town because the venue is outstanding . Bring the service up to match it please

Stop in for a look at this historic railroad station and absolutely stay for a drink and an appetizer at the ERGO lobby bar. First, the atmosphere is incredible and unlike anything you could just build today. The history and character speaks for itself and the fact that they still have the old timetable boards from the railroad up complete with track signage makes if feel like you’re having a drink while waiting for your train to arrive on Track 14. The periodic clack of the vintage sign boards changing their messaging is absolutely nostalgic. Cocktails here are incredible and nicely elevated. We had the Hummingbird and the Wanderlust. Both excellent. We paired those with Crispy Brussel Sprout appetizer and I can’t say enough about how good those were. The mix of honey, peppers and cheese were all unexpected but perfect pairings. It’s was a great small lunch and a nice change of pace from the Broadway vibe. We got there on the Old Town Trolley which drops you off a few hundred feet away. Highly recommend and would visit again next time I’m in Nashville.

Aside from the beautiful architecture and decor, our experience was made even more delightful by the friendly staff. We would go to the lobby bar ‘Ergo’ for happy hour or after dinner drinks each night during our stay. We were greeted most days by bartender, Erik who was incredible! Great customer service, positive attitude, and makes the best drinks we have had in a long time. Erik definitely added value to our experience at Ergo, and we hope to visit again in the future!

Bartender Erik was outstanding! He made us the most delicious Old Fashions we ever had. This bar is a hidden gem in a gorgeous building with rare, top shelf whiskeys. Also, the rock shrimp hush puppies were delicious! Go see Erik and he will take care of you with delicious cocktails.

The beauty of this historic building is amazing! The drinks were good and the bartender left is alone. Lol

The burger here was amazing. The bun was fun, and the cheese perfectly wrapped around the beef. The sauce was good along with the crispy onion straws. The fries were solid.

The hotel is stunning, its like being in an old train station, lots of details; the bar looks amazing, but we had an awful service with an inexperienced bartender and also received drinks that were basically 1/2 full.
Side Note: they do not accept cash, only cards.

We went for their Harry Potter theme and it was great. We both had the burgers and they were very good (though very messy)

This is a beautiful bar in a beautiful location, but I had hundreds of bars to choose from and I came here specifically for the Conductors Hour special. I had read about this online and was very intrigued by the description of the train bell, and the announcement of a special drink with a bit of Nashville history thrown in. The website says this is done every evening at 6:30, so a friend and I went around 6. When I realized it was 7pm and nothing had happened yet, I asked the bartender about it – he was extremely nonchalant, and said “oh yeah, I guess it is past the time”. He then told us there was no drink for the night, but that if we got another round of drinks he would honor the happy hour pricing. I then asked about the bell and he proceeded to walk over to it, and tap it as lightly as possible, almost mocking me and the fact that I was excited about it. At that point, we decided to leave and I received the check – $46 for 2 drinks! I think I was overcharged as my drink was listed as $16 and unless my friend’s Old Fashioned was over $25, there was definitely a mistake made. I also feel like we should have received our drinks at the Conductors Hour special price due to the fact that we came out of the way for this and it never happened. I paid, we left, it was fine, but we were both very disappointed in the experience. Drinks were good, location was nice, but the bartender was full of himself and rude, and a big part of what was advertised online was non existent.

Ok so first of all, our trip up here was super stressful and then we had a tornado and flood watch. I decided to hang out at the bar while my partner was hungover in bed (god bless his soul) and Tanner was absolutely phenomenal. I am typically picky on my cocktails and I was able to discuss with him what I wanted/needed and he delivered. He was super well versed with the Amaro scene (which is hard to come by), he was down to earth and hospitable. He definitely reminds me why I keep coming back to Nashville from Florida. Because of the genuine connection and hospitality. Thank you, Tanner, for making my trip 🙂
